I cant understand why we keep going back to Haverts as an eight and Rice as the pivot.

We score more and concede less with Jorginho as DM

They’re attacking Zinchenko’s side every time and succeeding. Why Arteta has kept him on knowing how weak he is against pacy wingers, I’ll never know.

But if we lose this, then it’s all Arteta’s own doing.

I cant understand Artetas tactics today - he's stubbornly going back to s system that just isn't working.

FT. 2-0.

Played well first half, second half was an abomination and we got what we deserved.

Congrats Man City on a 4th title in a row.

Should have taken our chances in the first half

You have to give credit to Villa though, they played really well in the 2nd half and deserved to win.

Hugely damaging defeat that, but it's still tighter than a duck's arse at the top of the table.

Our players looked knackered (which was my concern earlier with our lack of squad rotation during certain games) and City’s run-in is basically a dream. If City had our fixtures, I’d be a bit more sceptical, but they have the easiest run in, the most experience and the best squad.

You can never say never, but hard to see us winning it from here on in.

Season could be over in three days which is a bit annoying. Should have been ahead at half-time. Does Trossard ever score when he starts? Should be an impact sub only like OGS was.

Shame we also couldn't have played the Villa C team that City got to play against 11 days ago.

Well what the **** was that! Us and Liverpool just handed Man ****ty the title on a silver platter!!

Oh dear, which Arsenal team will turn up in Munich!

Ok.. Is it just me or are we only playing well when we have a more defensive midfield this Season?

For me it's a simple case of tactics - we play two setups: One which has been incredibly efficient while the other has been mediocre.

I don't like Havertz in midfield - at all, Odegaard comes deeper and we no longer have a No.10. (rather two 8's) Our losses to Fulham, Villa x 2 etc.. were all with this same system... But it's been ****. Stop making the same ****ing mistakes Mikel

All our best performances this year have come with Rice-Jorginho-Odegaard and Havertz up top..

If City win their remaining games this will be the game that cost us the title.

It was completely unecessary tactical tinkering by the manager. Bringing Havertz back into midfield and moving Rice back to DM.

If It aint broke..

Nah. You can't complain at 89pts. We've got so many points in 2024. Take it on the chin. It's city so not like we'll have been beaten by a genuine team anyway. Onwards to next season. Title would be epic. 2nd is very good.

Nah, not for me. Villa are a very good side. And it's the only league game we've lost in 2024. Dropping 4 points to Fulham and losing at home to West Ham were the results that irk me the most. Especially the Fulham game at home where we were 2-1 up, they were down to 10-men and we found a way to draw the game. Utterly criminal we didn't win that match.

I think we would have won had we played Jorginho/Partey in midfield and Havertz up top.

People were talking about the Dubai trip but the biggest difference to the team after Dubai was playing a DM and moving Rice forward as an 8.
We were a weaker side the first half of this Season - why go back to it?
