Pensions scare the s**t out of me, admittedly (both in personal terms and state terms).

Being old and poor (and probably unable to work and bring more cash in) scares the s**t out of me more than anything.

Get your private pension sorted out when you're young, kids, and don't take "never-never" debt like student loans <ok>

Nah, **** that. Have a ball when you're young, max out a couple of dozen credit cards, take out bundles in unsecured loans, then knock the lot when it comes on top.

"The Orange Order have nothing to do with us," a Better Together spokesman said yesterday. Earlier this year, the organisation said the Order "isn't part of our campaign and never will be". "The best way for people who believe that we are stronger and better together as part of the UK to get involved is by speaking to undecided voters, not marching in the streets," he added.

<laugh>

No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our own soil
No more psychological warfare, to trick us to thinking that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country, we're patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes its all lies
The stars and stripes, they've been swiped, washed down in white
And replaced with his own face, Mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you know why,
Cause I told you to fight.

Excellent Newgod

I wonder which way the people who officially sanctioned this event will be voting. Come to think of it, does ST advise Edinburgh City council now?

Just googled it.

Councillor Gavin Barrie, licensing leader, said: “All of the correspondence I have had [about the marches] was about the negative impact they have.

“But I do recognise they’re registered as a campaign group and that gives them some protection from prohibition – although they’re not completely protected.

“The law does not allow us to ban a march. It’s clear we’d rather this didn’t go ahead – our hands are tied. We have clear legal advice as to what we can and can’t do. [Banning it] wouldn’t have held up in the Sheriff Court.

“We recognise that when an organisation is registered as a campaigner in the referendum, the article on the convention of human rights gives you some protection.”

Arguing in favour of the march at yesterday’s meeting, James G MacLean, of the Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland, denied the event would create a major safety risk and said protection of the right to free and peaceful demonstration was paramount.

He said: “I’m simply saying that we need to be very careful about encouraging people to take offence because of their particular political agenda.

“The right to demonstrate is the bedrock of any democracy. The right to express your opinion is the bedrock of any democracy. The right to express your cultural opinion is the bedrock of any democracy.

“In a democracy you should observe the maxim, ‘I may disapprove of what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it’.”

In case anyone missed that last part...

“In a democracy you should observe the maxim, ‘I may disapprove of what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it’.”

f** all Orangemen.

Now, defend me with your life, arsehole :)

I'm sure the reports at the time said they "had no legal option but to allow it".

Whatever anyone thinks of the Order, apparently, their paperwork is impeccable.

Apparently (and I have some experience having seen the LoL granted permision to march thru Helensburgh recently) the only grounds for stopping these ******ed fudsticks marching is on Health and Safety grounds.

Some country eh?

Well you should be able to stop them on health grounds considering the amount of fat bastards among their number.
