A date has been announced: Referendum to be held on 18 September 2014.

Voters will be asked the yes/no question, "Should Scotland be an independent country?"

Nah..... I'll be honest, i haven't thought the reasoning through, but that won't be it.

The Irish in Scotland traditionally come from the northern counties where hurling ain't so strong. So there are only Gaelic Football clubs in Scotland as far as i know.

I guess i was thinking that hopefully i'd be at it, have the next day off work and get to watch the telly where hideous unintelligible oafs go to the polls to decide whether they want dominion status or not.

It's going to be a great day when that vote is held, will stock up on the wine and fine English ales and watch the result come in. TV gold I'm sure.

Aye right after the referendum in 2016 on whether 'Britain' should stay in the EU with all those Jonny Foreigners

we will remain a member state of Europe. is that right fatty?

we will get rid of nuclear weapons but still be hypocritical enough to come under NATO protection. is that so mr blobby?
