    Aye but Glasgow is derived from Gaelic, Inverness is derived from Gaelic - what **** named everything in Gaelic!???

    BTW have you got any 'Ballys'? Ireland and the Isle of Man are full of Ballys.

    Not really,ball,bally etc derives from baile which can mean town,town of or townland but can be regional but not sure if Balmoral applies
