Gaelic is now "Scottish"? Gaelic has always been a minority language in Scotchland.

 

Scots has always been what most Scots spoke. Indeed, many scholars now accept that English was first spoken in Scotland, albeit, that part of Scotland was part of the Kingdom of Northumbria at the time.

So you could argue, which I will, that England stole our language and renamed it to further oppress the Jocks!
