Assuming that we're talking fees of £7.5m for Jelavic and £7m for Long, that leaves £15.5m. Assuming Long signs for 3.5 years, like Jelavic has, that leaves £15.5m over a total of 364 weeks. I make that an average of £42.6k pw.
Ricardo will know but its important to remember that the 30m quoted will be spread over a few seasons.

Why would a club announce (assuming the statement is true) and or a newspaper (HDM) publish something (as in the web-article) before official confirmation ?
So they can get people buying the paper with the exclusive breaking news. Trust me, as a journalist, this is what they do.
