I can't see what we are gaining from having him anywhere near the squad, he's not putting any effort in. He's not going to benefit us at all
I still cant figure out how he came out from those 2 players with the ballWhen watching it once is just not enough! Every angle of Mayenda's goal on Friday

If he progressing as fast as he did last summer this summer we have one hell of a player on our hands like, can’t believe how little I rated him as recently as November tooHe’s only 11 months older than Watson. The difference is astounding.

100% think he signed a 5 year deal but I wouldn’t be against giving him a better wage and another year alreadyI suppose at his age he is only starting to figure out what he can do, scaring the **** out of seasoned CHs already, this lad probably needs a new contract
Same reason we shouldn’t be writing aleksic off poor lads barely had a kick and when he has he’s been in every position but his actual oneYeah it's hard to judge these 18/19 year olds, Dan Neil had made about 5 appearances in the pizza trophy by that age and look at him now. Up to November he has admittedly only shown glimpses of what he was capable of in the games against Portsmouth and Shef Wed especially, suppose it highlights how we have to take the positives sometimes and trust the club to identify if they can become more consistent at those flashes.

Yeah I’ve liked the little I’ve seen of him, poor at Norwich but who wasn’t, looking forward to seeing how he kicks onPersonally I've seen some good fundamentals from him, and has some great physical attributes with how quickly he accelerates and challenges with 30 year old championship veterans. Bit like Mayendas first season of basically no game time I like to think Aleksic will come good, but then I'm biased because I wanted us to sign him before we were even linked.
Was just 18 when he signed in August so he's got time on his side.
I would drop him on form. Last 2 games have been poor. Yesterday was really poor. I wouldnt go as far as some and never consider him again, but that is the coach in me speaking.
There was an incident in the first half where a long ball was played in for him and he didnt challenge at all. I said to my brother at the time he doesnt fancy this. It looked that way time and again. Then again I dont think we have ever seen Watson be aggresive like say Mundle. When he made his debut he was compared to a 14 year old on here and called weak etc. Partly why I dont subscribe to the arguments hoping that he fails miserably, or worse. A young lad, in an invidious position (of his making mostly but not all) and he perhaps doesnt know whether to **** or bust. He did get into two brilliant positions to score if memory serves, but the ball didnt get played. But he was a long way off the level needed.
For all concerned he needs to sit out on Monday at the very least. It will be counter productive to play him then. He wont get patience after yesterday, and this is still a young team that need every one of us behind them. Who to play instead? We cant go into the play offs with Hjelde playing there mate. We are all praying Mundle is fit arent we? If he isnt then I worry we will be completely unbalanced and good coaches will pick us off. If Cirkin is fit, and Regis feels be cant trust Watson, then he maybe an option with Hjelde behind him? All square pegs though.
Agree, can’t claim to be a Sunderland fan then not try a leg for those who pay hard earned money to watch you live their dreams, think he’ll stay in the squads but I don’t want him on the pitch ever again whether that come across petty frankly I don’t care, give your all or **** offI wouldn't dream of Hjelde there, in the playoffs, but would rather have him in tomorrow rather than see Watson in a red&white shirt.
In fifty years I can't remember seeing anything as poor as that, especially after his heart rending message to the fans.
You're right, he won't get any patience and doesn't deserve any.
In my opinion there are no excuses whether it's his age, inexperience or form ...
... he's a professional player who's grown up at the club alongside teammates like Neil, Rigg, Patterson etc, not just some naive kid.
His presence at the SOL, tomorrow, would be an unnecessary distraction at the worst possible time.
Neil, as captain, should be speaking to the manager and making his feelings clear. RLB, as a foreign newcomer, can possibly be excused but Dan Neil must surely know the feeling in the stands. I'm setting off tomorrow to support players I hope have the club's best interests at heart ...
... I'll be seriously disappointed if Watson starts, he let everyone down at Bristol just as I expected.

I’m sure everyone at the clubs aware of the feeling around him, I think he’ll be named in squads but very surprised if he comes on, interested to see how he acts in the lap of honour after QPRI don't care what happens when he leaves and wished him well before Bristol.
But, hang on, tomorrow is costing thousands of people money ...
... if he plays the whole day will be about Tommy bloody Watson however he plays.
At least Chopra pretended to care.
Probably nip off and quickly change into a Brighton shirt for thatI’m sure everyone at the clubs aware of the feeling around him, I think he’ll be named in squads but very surprised if he comes on, interested to see how he acts in the lap of honour after QPR
