Said it yesterday..his age, his build, his position... if he keeps developing like he is...the sky is the limit...potentially our most valuable asset, which is really saying something in our team at the moment. I love him, absolute beast of a baller.
I can't see what we are gaining from having him anywhere near the squad, he's not putting any effort in. He's not going to benefit us at all
Intrigued by the lineup we put out on Monday. RLB suggested Neil will be rested and that along with Watson being dropped make it hard to predict. Patterson Browne Mepham O'Nien Hjelde Rigg Samed Jobe Roberts Isidor Aleksic That's my best guess. Don't think he'd play ELF 2 games in quick succession that are pretty meaningless. Mayenda is clearly the main man now so could do with him having a break and seeing if Isidor can reignite his form. Cirkin will apparently be back but I can't see him starting if he couldn't make the bench yesterday.
I agree with pretty much all of that but would be tempted to stick Wilson on the left him and mayenda link well and atleast we know he will graft, gives you two outlets too
Aye. Roker park bench. His entire attitude throughout all of this has been a disgrace. I wouldn't let him sniff the turf at the SOL again. Not even in the squad. Little snide.
I'm hoping the crowd sing 'He's one of our own' ... ... to each local lad except him. Surely RLB saw what we all did and won't consider him again.
I would actually like to see Lavery in the team for a week, maybe too early for him but he's a good kid and a natural right back. Hedges isn't much of an opponent either imo for Blackburn, however probably be Browne and I don't mind that at all.
Isidor been out of form for a while now. Thought we lost every semblance of a front man option when he came on yesterday. Does he seem as happy as he once was? He is a conundrum at the moment, but if Mayenda doesnt start as our 9 in the play off games I would be shocked and disappointed.
Form and confidence, mate, the "dark areas of the mind". Isidor seems an "emotional player", if he's happy and confident things will flow, but if something knocks it, things won't work until it's put right. Whatever it is, it's in his head and his emotions probably amplify it, which can result in him trying too hard or conversely easing off too much because he's conscious of trying too hard and thinking less is more and things will come. Probably, when he gets a goal, his form will improve. Sports psychology is a complicated area, I don't know how much we put into it, but it is something to be invested in. I could start a whole thread on it from stuff I've read and heard from different sportsmen over the years, even down to stupid superstitions about chewing gum!
Same here. He's the modern day striker, all the big clubs are after similar profiles to him. If he adds consistency in front of goal he'll go to the top.
