I honestly think they're staying up reasonably comfortably. I don't know why people are saying they'll easily come straight back down if they watch them. They're a totally different kind of team to what you usually see come up from the Championship and they'll catch teams off guard (not this weekend mind).
And brave Barney isn't part of the problem because he's whinging on a chat forum How can these people manage to keep talking out of their aresholes while they're sitting on it ... ... they really think they're freedom fighters
absolutely they definitely have the best chance of the promoted sides. I wasn’t suggesting they’re planning to come back down, more that they’re future proofing themselves sensibly if they do.
I reckon this will have been planned for a while and we should move quickly to strengthen the squad. despite what quite a few safc fans on twitter and RTG think Speakman and our recruitment team aren’t stupid. They will have a plan for this and it’s now being put into action.
As soon as RLB said that Clarke was available at the weekend “for the moment” it was pretty clear to me he wouldn’t be playing this weekend.
He wouldn’t mention looking at replacements either Speakshite man he signed Clarke when he wasn’t very good we’ve made him good and sold him what we doing there’s no way any other winger at the club or elsewhere in the world could be this good for us
I can see a few gettting blocked tonight. Coming out with utter bollocks. Plenty saying we don’t want to get promoted. What sort of “fan” comes up with this ****? Bellends
Like even if we state “we are delighted to sign Wilson Isidor, the striker joins from zenit” blah blah blah and have him mention on how he likes to play in his interview etc. After RLB’s comments saying they’ve been looking at replacements for Jack Clarke as well as the two strikers mentioned it makes me think we will still have Isidor as CF. Who knows tho
Yeah and mentioning the club was looking at replacements. Then the simic news which we probs need the Clarke funds for. I think the simic deal could be more expensive than we were thinking, was it £10m he was valued at a year ago?
It will be interesting to see the type of player we look at. Somewhere like DM, you would assume we'd go for more experience. But at centre back, I'd love to see us buy someone young with a high ceiling, with an eye on them being an upgrade on Ballard 18 months from now.
Clarke 'came on the cheap' and didn't do too bad ... ... some people only see 'success' as SPEND SPEND SPEND. Newcastle have spent billions and haven't had any success since 1955
Look at our best players they all came cheap. This is the model. I think 20 million now is a fair price with time to replace and sign others
