The striker of RB Salzburg traveled to Sunderland where he is awaiting the last round of negotiations and a medical examination
The striker of RB Salzburg and the young member of the Croatian national team will probably change employers these days. Namely, as Germanijak learns, Roko Šimić traveled to England on Wednesday , where he is awaiting the final act of negotiations with Sunderland , a medical examination and the signing of a contract.
Sunderland is a member of the English Championship that started the season with a stated ambition to return to the elite club, but this was not seen in the transfer window because they brought in four players for now, but did not pay compensation for any of them. According to some information, this week Sunderland should sign Šimić and Isidor , a former Monaco youth player who played for Russian Zenit .
Šimić was part of the system of the Lokomotive football school , for whose seniors he made twenty appearances before going to Salzburg in the summer of 2021 in a transfer worth four million euros. He has a contract until next summer, and despite some rumors that he could return to HNL , that is Dinamo , it seems that the decision has been made that the striker will still continue his career on the island.

It doesn’t really matter though what matters is now and they’ve just been promoted twice and look to be heavily invested in giving it a good go. Sunderland are easily one of the top 20 biggest clubs in the country in my opinion we should be in the PL but the reality is we judge that off how good we were 60+ years ago and the crowds we attract. It’s not based on success because our fans this side of 50 haven’t even see us lift a major trophy. My time as a Sunderland fan is very short in comparison to most in here but all I’ve seen in my lifetime is yo-yo-ing between the champ/PL and fighting to survive in the PL.

Quite disrespectful to Ipswich to just dismiss them and think it’s absurd for our players to join them when they’re in a good position right now.
Who’s dismissing them , I’m purely commenting on the ridiculous label of being a huge club.

Roko Simic is a big yes. Red Bull trained so he's a good presser, big frame and can hold the ball, finishing needs work but his overall game will fit us.
Pretty spot on

He can force passes as well but lovely feet for a big striker n is a willing runner

Didnt have the best season last yr at Salzburg but some of that was due to Konates outstanding form

Simic is a very exciting player, he is a player that i think can help us now but also has massive upside

This is more like it. The transfer window is eventually getting going for us. I wonder why the Simic deal is only happening now. Did he just become available or did we switch after giving up on Mendy?

Tbf we just might not have noticed him straight away or realised it was even possible. He is highly rated

I like to believe we've used Mendy as a mechanism to get the player we really wanted on the best terms ...

... f*ck you Mbappe <laugh>
