I'm in a 'que sera' mood with Clarke, too many connotations to bother with.

The club seem to be handling the various transfers very well and, whatever happens with Clarke, I'm sure the club won't be knee jerking as we've all too often done in the past. We've already brought in Browne and Poveda who are adaptable players who know this league.

Clarke going would leave a hole but it's not a chasm. We thought it was when Stewart left but we seem to be backfilling now and having a system built around a team, not just one player.

If Clarke goes we'll live with it and I don't think it would affect our players too much ...

... I'm more focused on our match against Burnley, with all their disruption this is a good time to play them imo.

Yep,spot on marra. I'm really looking forward to Saturday...they're a good side, but,if we take them apart, it will announce us as the team of the moment.

To those saying that Ipswich wouldn’t be a good move for him are only lying to themselves really.

back to back promotions with one of the best young coaches in Europe and very ambitious owners with deep pockets but don’t seem scatter gun with their recruitment.

They’re a huge club, not in the premier league just to make up numbers. Sadly if it’s true and they offer what we want for Clarke then for me he leaves with my best wishes.

Thank god someone said it.

Sorry like but they aren’t ‘huge’ in any way shape or form and like the majority of clubs (including us) they will be there making up the numbers.

Depends on ambitions though mate.

former European cup winners, huge fanbase, ambitious owners.

I think out of the three that went up they have the better chance staying up, which would be the overall aim this season for them and then build from there.

can’t not get excited by their trajectory since they got took over, it’s a good move for him if it happens but I’d also hope Clarke can see what we are doing and is bought into our project.

I agree.

Not a huge club mind but certainly not a small one. Limited fan base in that area and limited appeal.

Rest is bang on. Don’t think they go down think they have recruited well, looked good for long spells v Liverpool.

I still don’t think it’s right move for Jacky though as he will be pushed back a lot more and that’s his Achilles heel.

They’ve played 30 seasons in the top flight in their entire history man with a record attendance of 38000.

sell out every week or their abouts.

attendances doesn’t mean they aren’t a big club, for what it’s worth I think he could go further up the table but I don’t think it would be the worst move for him.

I get what your saying Smug but when you see these lads turning it on like they did in Sunday it was like watching a bunch of mates enjoying each others skills and enthusiasm, bit like our better times under TM.
He just brings so much to the team, getting us up the pitch quickly, scoring and creating goals, he just looks like a young lad enjoying himself and apart from the money why would be want to turn his back on that.
Mind I felt like this with Stewart and we all know how that ended up.

Until very recently they didn’t sell out or come close to selling out an average sized stadium, they may or may not do ok for a while in the top flight, but labelling them huge is laughable by any metric imo.
