Looking at the money players have gone for in this window, I'd have thought 25m is the figure we'd want in our pockets for Clarke, after Tottenham got their share.

The model dictates we will need to sell big to progress. I'd be gutted to lose Jack Clarke but if we can reinvest that wisely it could well make us stronger.
The only way I see Clarke going to an Ipswich or a Southampton is that if hes thinking he can go and do one season, do really well then get a move up the ladder again. We need to be putting a sell on in any deal for this exact reason.
Isidor can play off the left, I'm wondering if thats what they have in mind rotating with Mundle.

Clarke is much better than an Ipswich. He needs to go to a club bigger than sunderland, not smaller.
Agreed, but the draw of the PL is too much in some cases. I hope, if he does go it's not £15m+ bonuses - we have to hold out for the full £25m

I'm in a 'que sera' mood with Clarke, too many connotations to bother with.
The club seem to be handling the various transfers very well and, whatever happens with Clarke, I'm sure the club won't be knee jerking as we've all too often done in the past. We've already brought in Browne and Poveda who are adaptable players who know this league. Roberts is like a new exciting signing based on the last two games.
Clarke going would leave a hole but it's not a chasm. We thought it was when Stewart left but we seem to be backfilling now and having a system built around a team, not just one player. Clarke is only 23 and knows he'll play in the PL next season, he doesn't look desperate to leave imo.
If Clarke goes we'll live with it and I don't think it would affect our players too much ...
... I'm more focused on our match against Burnley, with all their disruption this is a good time to play them imo.

To those saying that Ipswich wouldn’t be a good move for him are only lying to themselves really.
back to back promotions with one of the best young coaches in Europe and very ambitious owners with deep pockets but don’t seem scatter gun with their recruitment.
They’re a huge club, not in the premier league just to make up numbers. Sadly if it’s true and they offer what we want for Clarke then for me he leaves with my best wishes.

We’ve had umpteen offers of £15 million , the club are still in a position where we only sell on our terms so these ridiculous low bids are never going to see him leave at this point.
