Football is entering the final stages of doing something now or is gone for good, as @Smug in Boots mentions in post few more on, bizarrely at a time football has never had so much money, obviously tv deal in france is the mega issue....no tv deal should not mean clubs fold.

Never so much money has kicked about in football, yet never have so many clubs been in bother & thats because the reality is other than money passing through clubs dont have anymore, yet players, often average players & agents have never made so much

Salary cap, spending cap, whatever they need to do something now

Footballers aren't worth the money thrown at them even the top level ones.. game of greed with zero morals.

I agree. However, woe betide you if you try to run a club sustainably. The fanbase will greet themselves daft over your 'penny pinching' and 'lack of ambition'

Yet I'm sure those supporters who regularly accuse KLD of penny pinching, and trying to run the club on a shoestring, are serious. It would be bad enough if we'd only seen other clubs go bust, or struggle, but we saw SAFC taken to the brink. At a time when clubs are in danger, others are awaiting sanctions and TV deals being looked at I'm happy that we have someone decent and intelligent looking after us.
Posters on forums will unironically take the piss out of the travails of the likes of Wigan whilst talking about KLDs lack of ambition on a parallel thread.

tbf like a 23 year old really high on form and at Brighton who are known for young talent is a far cry away from Bradley Dack haha
Just because he's at Brighton and Le Bris wants him doesn't mean he's any good though, if they are so good at producing young talent why would they let him go.

P.S I know nothing about the actual player just making the point that just becasue the manaer wants him doesn't mean he'll be good

:emoticon-0102-bigsm Why would the manager want him if he didn't think he was any good?

That was a real own goal from Tony that, Dack was a horrendous signing.

Hindsight is a great thing but at the time it seemed like a decent signing if we could keep him fit. We all said Rusyn seemed like a great signing but realistically he’s really done no more than Dack last season even though I like him and want him to be given a fair crack.

The scouts should be given praise for some of the brilliant young lads we’ve signed recently but they’ve also got their fair share wrong or at least so far proven ineffective so a bit unfair on Mowbray to blame him for the Dack situation.

16 goals for a winger at Rangers last season at 23 is quite good i'd say

He thinks he's good, doesn't mean he will be. Mowbray thought Dack was good and Moyes thought Pienaar and Januzaj were good..

Take the point, but Dack was bought for a reason.Ok,his on pitch contribution was meagre, but we could see the intention.
I wouldn't compare any Moyes signing with our current regime....everything was a disaster then and I'd like to think we're much better than that now.
I would place a lot more trust in our recruitment team atm. Any signing is a risk....I think our homework might be much improved from Moyes time.
