It was last August. It was a last minute of the window collapse. I’m a little surprised we’ve not revisited it, maybe there was some bad blood with the way the deal fell through.
I think the bit about not wanting to play outside his preferred position too long (8) makes it seem that way to me
just so that peeps are aware "The summer transfer window for 2024 officially opens on June 14th, 2024 and closes on August 30th, 202412. Clubs can make deals until 6pm ET on August 30th, 2024, and can apply for a 'deal sheet' two hours before the deadline if needed" This is odd as normally if the 31st falls on weekend they move it to the Mon/Tuesday after for it to close.
22 year old and 1 in 4 goal ratio ... ... I wouldn't want a 'fall out guy' though, what's the problem? I know Manning is a bit of an egomaniac and doesn't seem too loyal to his clubs.
No idea whats gone on there Hes a young striker so i dont read a massive amount into his stats I like his mobility, covers a lot of ground and will drag defenders out of position. Still needs to improve his movement in the box, i would like to see him make more 'double movements' in the box to make him harder to mark
He is quite an instinctive striker for me. He finds himself in good positions in the box. Like you say his mobility is very good, and he will work hard to move players around, I do wonder if he might lack a turn of pace. All in all though he is a young lad that should go far in his career. Would be happy to see him here, and with only 1 yeat left on his contract it is not a bad time to be trying to buy him.
