Good to see Ellis Taylor had found a new club.

FORMER U21 CAPTAIN FINDS NEW CLUB
This one isn’t a rumour, nor is it regarding a player being sold, but last season’s Under-21 captain, Ellis Taylor, has found himself a new club in the EFL. Having been a standout player for the academy and instrumental in our Under-21’s run to the Premier League 2 final, it was met with some surprise that Taylor didn’t remain on Wearside. This summer Ellis has found himself a new permanent home, joining League Two side Harrogate Town. Before officially signing, Taylor featured as a trialist for Harrogate Town in a friendly against Huddersfield Town and he actually scored despite Harrogate losing 3-2 on the day.
That’s a good move for the lad. I was fully expecting him to join a National League club

Bordeaux on the verge of extinction. Plenty other clubs in France on their last legs. Sad to see. However I wouldn't be surprised if we dipped into this market when prices will be low, like Mendy.

Football is entering the final stages of doing something now or is gone for good, as @Smug in Boots mentions in post few more on, bizarrely at a time football has never had so much money, obviously tv deal in france is the mega issue....no tv deal should not mean clubs fold.

Never so much money has kicked about in football, yet never have so many clubs been in bother & thats because the reality is other than money passing through clubs dont have anymore, yet players, often average players & agents have never made so much

Salary cap, spending cap, whatever they need to do something now

Yet I'm sure those supporters who regularly accuse KLD of penny pinching, and trying to run the club on a shoestring, are serious. It would be bad enough if we'd only seen other clubs go bust, or struggle, but we saw SAFC taken to the brink. At a time when clubs are in danger, others are awaiting sanctions and TV deals being looked at I'm happy that we have someone decent and intelligent looking after us.

He played there for rangers but i think hes better as a striker, good player and rangers fans liked him when he was there

As you've said previously, it's difficult to find a striker who won't play wide.

I'll be keeping an eye on Burstow, this season, and wondering if he'll go out on loan again.

He really needs to learn how to play as a nine, it seems a complete mystery to him ...

... quite bizarre when Chelsea have more coaches than we have players.

Champion, I could only base it on very little I’ve seen of rangers last year, not sure he’d come to the championship but definitely wouldn’t be against it!

I think if we get a second goal scoring/ productive winger and a striker who is a goal threat and keep Clarke we’ve transformed the side, considering we already have Browne. This lad could plug in two of those positions.

Mendy top scorer in the league next year, eight nets broken along the way. I'm sure of it.

A winger that can player striker you say.

Sounds like Speakmans wet dream and a return if the mythical Leon Dajaku playing as a fluid 9.
Heard out about either of the forward links? Wouldn’t mind both of them but imagine that’s unrealistic

Think they were in financial trouble a few years ago because they were demoted to ligue 2 rather than relegated iirc and sold the club to an opportunist who’s seemingly put no money in and let it get worse.

They were relegated, but they were initially denied a professional license for the second and put into 3rd tier, which is non pro.

That’s a proper big, famous and storied club. Them going needs to wake the game up if it happens.

There been clubs in Italy reformed and such (Palermo, Bologna, Bari , Parma 233 times…) but Bordeaux is a big one.

The French league is god awful to watch, a bit mad considering the incredible talent it spills to rest of Europe.
