Why would not say alot for him really would it jumping from team to team because his went down, and i really do not think the boys upstairs are to upset he has gone.
I’m just gonna go ahead and say it. We’ve had Brentford’s pants down. Keane Lewis Potter is not a £20m player. He’s not a £16m player. To be honest, I would have snapped their hand off at £7m! He goes missing. When he’s good he’s very good, but that is nowhere near as often as some of you are portraying. He’s not a patch on Bowen. He doesn’t have Bowen’s work-rate. He has simply been a slightly sparkly stone in a pile of ****. The bar was not set that high. That being said, he’s got his move, he’s set up for life (providing he doesn’t have a brainfart). Good luck to the lad. There we go. I feel better now.
I would argue the bar is actually very high for him. Whenever he doesn't score, people say he's gone missing. Then when he's moving for big money people say that he goes missing a lot, but it's a very loose definition. He's been in a very limited attacking side and still scored a lot of goals and taken games by the scruff of the neck. I think it's harsh that people want to judge him on the fact he can't do that every single game.
Good luck to the lad - In hope it works out for him - I think we've done well to get that much for him- he's not a proven Premier League player and tended to get frustrated with team mates if things didn't go his way which was a bit much when he messed up a few chances himself - what did Acun pay for us, £30 million and he gets £16 million for one player - can't be bad - looking forward to this coming season's rebuild - most optimistic for a few years
A lot of that fee is down to his potential, which he clearly has. It would be possible to replace his role in this seasons team for less than the fee were getting, but we don't get the player he will be in 3-4 years time, which is a shame.
Don’t know if it’s happened yet but if young Potter has finally signed the dotted line and moved up to what’s considered a modern day football version of Valhalla good luck to the lad. He’s obviously a very talented and exiting prospect and potentially one for the future but he’s made his decision now so maybe it’s time we put this wake like period to bed and look forward to what I see as an exiting season ahead starting in just over 3 weeks. The big Turk has finally unlocked the shackles of the last regime and dunno about you lot but I like the look of the way the potential future of the club is being constructed….nothings guaranteed of course but that’s f’kin damn sight better way to look at things in my book. Forza CITY,
I've yet to see anybody begrudge him this move, I don't know why anybody would either. It must be brilliant as a YTS at City to see the likes of KLP, Bowen, Greaves, Fleming, James and Tymon all making decent careers for themselves. Could be argued that Cooper and Townsend have also set a pretty high standard. When you look at the amount of professional footballers we've produced in the last few years, it's easy to see why clubs are keeping a sharp eye on our academy.
Aye Wasn’t suggesting he isn’t good Just thought it was amusing that a highlight reel shows shots going wide and failed crosses that’s all They’re normally full of anything perfect and nothing else.
Oh, I know. Ali for one has similar potential to KLP. Swings and roundabouts. I'm reasonably content we've got value for him and I'm also confident it'll be reinvested. I've no doubt we'll go into the season stronger than how we finished last season.
No Den i was not suggesting that mate i was saying how i saw it,it is good know though that we may need to shout pass pass don't shoot .
I’m gonna make a bold prediction that Allahyar will be a better all-rounded player than KLP in 3-4 years.
I'll be a little bolder... Allahyar is already a better all round player and I think it'll be proven this season
I know, I think Allahyar is light years ahead physically and after a full season at this level Brentford might be wishing they went for him instead
I just remembered a moment yesterday when he had 2 or 3 Fenerbahçe players around him and he held the ball up like prime Zlatan lmao. He’s deceivingly strong for his age and physique.
