We are a completely different club to the one he left so he has no idea what is going on, why can’t the press talk to ex pros that have supported us their life and still live in the area who talk and listen with other fans. I don’t mind Phillips as he done good for us but for me he could never tie the laces of Rowell, a true legend and fan

His comments come across as ****e, but I'd say the clickbait journalism at Football Insider doesn't exactly show him in a great light. There are loads of articles and links on there, and some of his quites are positive , but they have been clipped into multiple, badly wriiten online pieces.

He should have a word with them, at least, about that. If he doesn't, it reflects really badly on him as a rent-a-quote

It's not these daft clips that bother me tbh, like you say people know the set up ...

... it's his TV appearances that grate because he seems to think he knows better than Johnson and KLD.

When he gave the interview on Sky, after the takeover, he was saying 'I don't speak for all Sunderland supporters'.

How true, I thought.

Proves he and the journalist know nothing about SAFC. He needs to shut up

Aye we should stick with the same side, why change it. Oh wait, Sanderson can't play. Someone should tell Phillips, save him the bother of having to do some research.
Or Winchester
As I said before. So embarrassing. A bit like another former striker talking about games he never attends and other club issues

Are these lot phoning him up every day for a quote or opinion on all things Sunderland? Does he have nowt else to do??
Problem is with the comments he's coming out with he's obviously not actually taking much notice of what is going on with the team.
Surely if he was a fan like he claims to be he would have a much better understanding of what was actually happening

During the Jim White 'takeover' interview he said KLD had been brought in to provide extra finance and Donald would be there to guide him ...

.... the exact opposite of the truth in every way possible <doh>

Todays wise words ....

Ex-striker Kevin Phillips has backed his old club for promotion – if they can keep their star performers fit ahead of the run-in.

"I think they’re hitting form at the right time,” Phillips told Football FanCast.

“My only concern is if they were to lose Charlie (Wyke) or if he was to go off the boil, or if they were to lose (Aiden) McGeady, the two players that have been so influential in this run."

Who'd have thought it eh <doh>

I missed the comments on Saturday reference starting with the same team barring injuries.

I am shocked to my very core that he has made another comment without being aware of the situation or doing 5 minutes research.

This is the biggest fault for me in his media work. He can be negative about us if that's how he feels. It's the lack of research and the comments that 5 mins research or knowing the club would prove he is talking out of his ring. The KLD being only 23 what does he know just aswell Donald is staying on to help him being the prime example.

Or if The Queen Elizabeth crashed into the Wear Bridge and blew up... While the team bus was crossing...
