Yeah, seems to be some confusion from the reporters.

So to clear it up for them, someone can take over the club without owning it 100%. What they mean is Donald and co. Look like they are staying with less of a stake in the club.

Do takeovers not go this way quite a bit, the new owners take what they can get to control the club and then slowly buy more and more, when it's available?

I seem to remember a bad tempered share struggle at Arsenal.

As long as Donald has no real influence he can have his shares imo.

If a new owner gets us moving Donald will be irrelevant.

I am afraid that if it were me buying the club and I didn't have overall control with other shareholders hanging on to their share allocation, I wouldn't go ahead on the premise that I could buy their shares at a later date..

Ive been looking at this Joey Saputo some lad mentioned over the road, His company opened up offices in Uruguay in 2018, they could have links with Sartoris Union Group, both companies are similar making money from the natural landscape - could be something in this?
I love a good conspiracy theory. You may be spot on mate

This term 'a partial takeover' is new to me.

If a buyer takes control it's a takeover.

If Donald remains in control it's not.

Most people accept Donald wants to cling onto shares but I believe that's for future profit, not control. He's been in total control and is no futher forward. He's lost money, momentum and support ...

... only a takeover would change that situation imo.
Absolutely, if the new guy buys 51% of the shares it's a takeover.

Can’t stand him. He is like a smelly drain lingering around us. I hope his involvement is minimal.
I have a bit of a problem with the extent of anti Donald sentiment. This is because I have strong Oxford links going back to the late 70s and been to loads of their games. My daughter curren
tly at uni there so links continue.

My point is I have friends who know Donald and know Methven, as separate entities.

They all say the same thing. Donald is a sound bloke, got a lot of integrity and loves his football. They are frankly incredulous at some the stuff posted on social media, con man etc.

They see Methven pretty much as we do but apparently he has great connections.

I want him gone but wish we could tone down the rhetoric. He is not the devil incarnate.

I don't believe FPP would accept other investment coming into the club with their 'loan' outstanding.

Which means it would have to be repaid before someone else could invest/buy.

If this isn't 'FPP', trying to force the issue with Donald, I'll be truly surprised.

Whatever the case Donald should see the light and accept his presence is poison.

He is an opportunist and is hanging around to make profit out of our club but it is undeserved because he has done a terrible job. His ego won’t allow that thought. I’m sure he is a nice enough man in many ways as most people are but his greed and ego are holding back the club I love. Even in this deal It appears. He needs to be gone and it’s a piss take that we suffer while he tries to recoup potential losses that are generally a result of his own bad practice. We need someone better with a 5 year plan to invest not a plan to cut profit and run. It was the best thing for Donald that always mattered.

Thing is, he was a midgies knacker away from doing the job he came to do. His two major cock ups were not tying Maja down (may have been out of his hands), and blowing all his wad on Grigg (which at the time seemed like an acceptable risk as his guaranteed goals at this level would have seen us promoted). Most have turned against him because of the takeover fiasco, particularly from last year when it seemed certain he was leaving us in more than capable hands. He's being blamed for it all going tits up, moving the goalposts, saying the wrong things. Whether this is right or wrong, it doesnt matter, the longer he stays the longer we stay in League 1. Needs to leave asap.

That's all fair enough imo.

I'm sure the fly doesn't want to spoil the ointment but it's presence does just that.

SAFC is Donald's biggest interest but he's doing nothing to protect it by staying.

If he clung on indefinitely he really could lose everything. The club is once again out of the promotion places but, this time, losing money rapidly with no end in sight.

If this situation continues Donald will eventually have to hand over the club to the current biggest investors.

He's out of his depth and needs to get out as soon as possible.

luvly mate, yet he accuses safc of kidnap.
I’ll make my own mind up about Donald and as far as I can see he is a lying thieving chancer.

He's obviously doesn't know his football that well if he forks out 3 to 4m pound on Will Grigg, despite everybody else at the club telling him not to.

I'll be honest I don't like the language used against Madrox and I think they are decent blokes who just haven't delivered on the pitch.

I think some of the campaigns against them have been well out of order. Especially Chris Witherspoon who has, in my opinion, been shocking.

Do I want them to go - yes. Purely because I don't think they have or will deliver on the pitch, they employ the wrong people etc.

Do I believe they were stealing the clubs money etc - no I don't, I've said consistently that the 'missing money' was going to be put back in on promotion to championship as a war chest. Again that was Chris who inappropriately influenced the narrative to them filtering off the clubs money and creating hatred. He was completely wrong on many levels in my opinion.

Do I hate them - absolutely not.

It's all about the football in my opinion nothing else, and they haven't delivered.
