Failure aside the damage gone to the youth system has been the thing that rankles most for me. Take years to recover from that.

I'll be honest I don't like the language used against Madrox and I think they are decent blokes who just haven't delivered on the pitch.

I think some of the campaigns against them have been well out of order. Especially Chris Witherspoon who has, in my opinion, been shocking.

Do I want them to go - yes. Purely because I don't think they have or will deliver on the pitch, they employ the wrong people etc.

Do I believe they were stealing the clubs money etc - no I don't, I've said consistently that the 'missing money' was going to be put back in on promotion to championship as a war chest. Again that was Chris who inappropriately influenced the narrative to them filtering off the clubs money and creating hatred. He was completely wrong on many levels in my opinion.

Do I hate them - absolutely not.

It's all about the football in my opinion nothing else, and they haven't delivered.

I'd agree with all of that.

Personally I've not accused them of anything except being poor at the things they said they were good at.

They failed to win promotion, haven't improved the squad, destroyed the academy, alienated the support, created division, failed to sell to better people when they had the chance, didn't bring in a good manager, etc.

People are now looking out of their window, every few minutes, looking for the DHL van ...

... it's becomes increasingly frustrating when people make promises but don't deliver.

My point is I have friends who know Donald and know Methven, as separate entities.

They all say the same thing. Donald is a sound bloke, got a lot of integrity and loves his football. They are frankly incredulous at some the stuff posted on social media, con man etc.

They see Methven pretty much as we do but apparently he has great connections.

I want him gone but wish we could tone down the rhetoric. He is not the devil incarnate.

What’s he done for Sunderland football club? We have the worst team in our history, a dreadful reserve team, he sells all our best youngsters, has already mucked up one takeover which would have made us one of the richest clubs in the world and has constantly lied to fans and when the going got tough completely disappeared.

Don't think they are decent blokes. The kidnapping of his 12 year old daughter by SAFC fans is disgusting. Blaming everyone apart from themselves for the mismanagement of the club, the cost cutting with consequences that will last for years and their statements when they first turned up:

"Its your club ( the fans) we are just custodians"
"We will be open and transparent"
"We need the fans, we need you to trust us, give us a chance"
"Judge us on our performance".

Sorry but thats bollocks - they have deliberately misled the fans from day 1. All they were interested in was selling the club for a massive profit - when that failed they have been massively found out.

They deserve everything they get imo. Also up until now they have been given an incredibly easy ride.

Agree he's not the devil incarnate but he has been pretty crap. I'd also say he's been less than honest at times and that is never going to go down well. Additionally he ****ed a takeover up last year by being a bit greedy at the last minute and now it appears that his greed might again be standing in the way of what is best for the club. Personally don't care what Oxford think of him but for me Clive, he can **** right off.

Exactly this. That story is utter fabrication. Kidnapping (which it wasn’t anyway) is a very serious offence which iirc is punishable by life imprisonment. Sunderland supporters or not I would’ve been on the phone to the cops the second they turned up at my house and if this story was real he would have done the same.
