It's a fickle business this football innit. If we'd humped Wolves 6-0 everybody would be saying "it's just pre-season" it doesn't mean nowt.

Wolves are 10 days away from their season starting and are obviously more advanced in their prep for the season....having a ****ing manager helps like!

It's just pre-season though so it means nowt !!

I agree with that, I agree they be sharper as well, but the team you have out there now (players missing are Dubravka, Almiron and Gayle) is ****ing terrible. Even with those 3 back it’s a relegation team.

I dunno if you’re watching but wolves are playing walking pace anyway.

Yep, I have it on in the background at work. We are ****, no two ways about it, it's a training game for us more than anything. There are at least 7 of the team out at the moment on the pitch that I wouldn't want anywhere near the matchday squad come season kick off....ideally some of them won't be anywhere near the club. YES I'm talking about you Colback you useless ginger **** !

Wait till old Brucie gets his arse out there and starts to work his magic for the next game.

Turns out that Sheffield Wednesday have not sanctioned Bruce and his staff's departure and are still in the legal process of the deal:

The Club is disappointed to learn via public statement issued by Newcastle United that it has appointed former Sheffield Wednesday staff Steve Bruce, Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence.

Regardless of the fact that the staff resigned from their positions with the Club on Monday, there remains outstanding legal issues to be resolved between the club and the staff and Newcastle United. The Club is currently considering its position and taking the appropriate legal advice.


No further comment will be made by the Club concerning this matter.

I'm surprised the ref hasn't stopped the game and awarded it to Newcastle, as its against the rules, for Wolves to play in carpet slippers and their goalie to be smoking a pipe and reading the paper.

Have to say, yet again, was just in Scott’s opposite Sports Direct and it’s just as busy as ever.

End of the day, nowhere else sells Lonsdale joggers for them.

There’s as much conviction in their patter as their is in Sir Mikes to sell up <laugh>
