Don't get sucked in buddy. There's a sh!t-show about to go off at Newcastle as a) response to manger appointment b) takeover doesn't happen c) new signings are all bargain basement relegation fodder d) the season will start badly e) we will spend all season fighting relegation.

There's going to be plenty to point and laugh at but avoid making this board focused on it. Pick a thread and run with it tbh. Plenty going on for Sunderland this year to hopefully be able to get excited about and then the realistic hope of derbies again next year...

I can see/agree with your point about making this board a focus of all things Newcastle. The Mag board looks shabby because of the 'warm glow' stupidity and the way their threads inevitably turn to Sunderland.

Even the thread about an incredibly exciting mega-rich Arab takeover, getting rid of Ashley and bringing in top players soon became a series of totally predicate infantile digs at Sunderland.

As it happens, by page 9, it became the warmest glow I've had in ages ...
... I laughed out loud at some of the comments and it just became funnier at every twist and turn.

The cherry on the top was how the Mod/OP had to change the title to try to stop himself looking stupid <laugh>

The goings on at SJP are like a car crash on the other side of the motorway, you know you should concentrate and ignore it but it's weirdly fascinating. Ashley is like a juggernaut who's ploughed through the back of dozens of cars and seemingly , sat in his cab, laughing his head off.

Benitez turning out to be a snake, the Sheikh being fake, players baling, the endless 'protests' and now Bruce preparing his acceptance speech ...
... it's all just to funny to ignore.

It's not just us, the whole nation is watching in awe.

I think Ashley has picked a manager who will keep them up.............just. Thats all Ashley wants. I think he is playing the game better than Ellis did.

90% of me agrees.

10% thinks that appointing Bruce and allowing Rondon, Perez and potentially Longstaff, Dubravka and Schar to go would simply get us relegated - a false economy.

I am a tad hungover but I thought I saw that Perez had gone to Leicester for £30 mil. Maybe just me after a few gargles.

Part of me suspects there's a plan, let's be honest Ashley is a clever man in many ways.

As things stand he's employing a cut price manager, selling off players and looking for cheap options. If Longstaff and Dubravka leave alarm bells would be ringing at the Cathedral

If Almiron was sold, which I've heard is possible, I'd say Ashley is lining up a sale on 'the cheap'.

Benitez, Perez, Almiron, Longstaff, Dubravka, etc all going amounts to a massive 'income/saving' for Ashley and a club that may be easier to sell.

I've heard there are three different groups looking at a takeover.

I also believe the club is easier to sell without Benitez there on a long contract. Whatever you think of him he's not an easy going jolly manager, wanted huge wages, new facilities, big spending, etc. He also produces the exact opposite of what Newcastle supporters always say they want in terms of playing style.

Grinding out points with 25% possession and 2 shots per game isnt all Ashley's fault tbf.

Remember we're not allowed to laugh because we're two divisions below them.

Mwah-ha-ha-HHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! <laugh>

If you're ever bored and want a cheap laugh just start on page 7 of this masterpiece of 'grown men showing themselves up' <laugh>

They're sucked in exactly as they were with the announcement of 'billionaire businessman, Mr Mike Ashley, is in the process of buying Newcastle'. They're absolutely dancing in the streets of the Toon, firing off endless Mackem insults and talking about who they'll bring in, who'll manage and how they'll get the bogs fettled in the Cathedral.

The crash when they realise they've been had by Rafa and the fake Sheikh is hilarious ...

... even if it still happens its been great entertainment watching them claim they're in the know and 'it's happening' then crashing down to the ground like the horse puncher when he hit the deck.

To cap it all poor old Albert had to change the original title to cover his tracks <laugh>

It's an all time 606 comedy classic ...

how about we start our own thread on the Newcastle board in retaliation to warm glow, i was thinking HOT SPOTS would be good, see how long it lasts before being banned...

Tbf mate, why should we make the effort when they regularly humiliate themselves ....

"I think Ashley has done a great job personally."
<laugh>

Besides they'd reply with their inevitable handful of infantile little 'jokes' they always do ...

... repetition is the highest form of humour on the Mag board.

I have given up on that "warm glow" thread. Dorty Dogbreath who started it just can't distinguish between banter from being deliberately annoying. He thinks he wins if he annoys you, and his last post about the thread, which has sailed over the line many times, was nauseating:

A message to all my fellow Warm Glowers, thank you for your sustained efforts over the past five years. This has been the best thread ever, not long until it all starts again. Let's trust The Glow to deliver once more. All hail The Glow <party>

A bit sad if you ask me...

The whole thing's sad mate, I'm amazed at how patient you've been tbf.

They're like Ant & Dec times 6 tbh ...

... I can't tell one from another, they trot out exactly the same drivel and carry on like naughty 14 year olds continually laughing at the same 'jokes'.

I wouldn't be surprised if they all live in the same house and cuddle up together at bedtime <laugh>

Here's another fabulous comedy classic from grown ups who claim to represent, and speak for, Newcastle supporters.

These people who believe they can help boot Ashley out of Newcastle.

They can post ludicrous drivel, like this below, and believe they're actually striking a blow for the whole Geordie Nation <doh>

"While several fans have said ‘enough is enough’ and intend to boycott Arsenal, there’s still some who fully intend to attend our opening game of the season."

Dear me, how do they think those numbers add up ....
