Some very grand buildings, I’d love to get my hands on a few on them
Hull is far better than Leeds. The superb developments around the Hull marina and the nearby fruit market **** all over the appalling scenes of dereliction south of the Aire, including a Grade 1 listed building literally being left to rot. Why can’t Leeds get it right like Hull can?
What I’ve written there is just as ludicrous as the bollocks about Hull you wrote earlier. And no amount of dull tales about trips with your grandchildren will change that. You were wrong. Admit it. I dare you.

No those examples aren’t bollocks. But the broader point you used those examples to make about Hull, was bollocks. Just as the point I made using different examples in Leeds was equally bollocks.Bombsites and a burn out cinema standing from W2 and the New York were bollocks, were they?
Is that Premier League Norwich? At least it got him off chatting **** about ****ing Norwich.![]()
Very impressive back pedaling, Castro![]()
Re Leeds list of buildings No.1 and No.5 have moved on a bit. The library having been totally refurbed (I think as a gym ?) Hunslet mill is about 60% approx. completed as flats/apartments. Bit weird cos I’ve just bought a bacon & Black pudding sarnie from the cafe opposite and thought I’d just catch up on reading 606 once I parked up further away in Hunslet.

So, out of date info to try and score a point? Development going on whilst Lord Lind and New York Hotel is still being debated.
Is the Hope and Anchor still open?![]()
The article clearly states it's from 2016, it was just to show that your assertion that Hull has had derelict buildings for decades, while Leeds didn't, was wrong. Every large city has its fair share of buildings that have been derelict for decades.
Serious question. There are people in the HDM comments section suggesting various options about the Lord Line building. One is it should be rebuilt brick by brick and out to use. Use for what? There is no call for its original use.
Neither of us live in Hull so don’t have a vote regarding the council but what on earth have they been doing letting Manor Properties carrying on they way they have?

I was on about the area behind the station where the Armouries is situated. Went there to take grandson. In and out staying as short as possible. Don’t think there any bombsites or burnt out cinemas from WW2 though.
There are areas of Leeds which make some of the estates in Hull look, highly desirable places to live.
Gipton for example.

The most impressive building, the town hall, was, as I always tell Leeds folk, designed by a bloke from Hull.
He designed the Corn Exchange as well, which is also a great building.
