There are signs on the turnstiles clearly saying HOME FANS ONLY. The Sheff U fans knew exactly what they were doing and it is they who the police should be concentrating on. Plus those who sold them the tickets and placed every home fan in a volatile situation. No home fans should even be questioned. They are members who have the right to be in that stand. If it was City fans in the away section then it would be a different scenario, but it wasn't.
Sheff U fans were also in the West Stand but they did not draw attention to themselves by waving their arms about and gobbing off.
You would have thought all this is common sense , I'm sure many of us have gone in a home section at an away ground knowing full well that you keep quiet and don't draw any attention to yourself . If you start acting like a dickhead then that's at your own risk .
