I do what I believe in. I boycott certain places/products because I abhor what they do and what they stand for, sometimes at great inconvenience to me. In my opinion this is my small way of fighting back, I wanted to attend the game in question, but I decided to sacrifice attending one game in order to demonstrate that the outrageous and unfounded restrictions put in place by WYP would not be tolerated. This was my small way of fighting back. You seem extremely defensive of your position.
Maybe thats cos of the ****ish way you attacked those of us that went? Those of us who wouldnt be beaten by unneeded and draconian restrictions. Those of us who endured those conditions in spite of WYP police attempts to put us off going. Those of us who raised the profile of this issue with fans from other clubs. Those of us who ensured the reputation of our fans was kept clean with our humour and lack of trouble. Don't give me "you seem defensive" when you post the **** you do, unless you're just trolling and ****ing off to responses to your ****e of course.
Attack? You seem very paranoid. I stated my opinion. You ever lift your fat arse in opposition to anything? You call me a keyboard warrior, yet you’re the one throwing base insult after insult. Not exactly the position of someone secure in their position. How do measure that 'you raised the profile of our club'? You seem desperate to justify yourself.
Did you rise the profile!!! did the march rise the profile ? How many was there of you on the Big march. i would have said the pen to paper or e-mails raised the profile and the 600 fans that carried your banner in the game for you!
It was all about opinion and choice; WYP were no more obnoxious in their dictat of how and where we should travel than the scrotes on here who did the same by using terms like scab. Leon Bollocks has just gone down that same puerile path. Acting like a **** is by far the easiest option and a foolish one; I''ll await that spurious and easily moderated thread, the heavily edited posts and the big brother PMs. Leaving the room in a gentile way.
The march got press coverage, so yes - but I think the real point made in the march was that the extra expense for WYP to police it probably negated the savings (and the genuinel motive) that placing the bubble restrictions were intended to produce in the first place. The fans in this battle won over public opinion and made WYP look like amateur clowns - even more so today. It is pretty clear the marchers, attendees and complainants efforts combined have really put WYP under genuine pressure, both then and now - and it also puts into context their actions stopping the Burnley coach at Hartshead moor on spurious grounds the week previously and the unwarranted, provocative kettling at Leeds Station after Barnsley in their now evidently desperate search for both legal justification and public opinion in relation to those restrictions.
You accused those of us who actually made a difference of colluding with WYP. You seem desperate to justify sitting at home to watch the game. Which considering where I live was by far the easier option for me.
It has always been conveniently forgotten that some fans wrote, marched and attended the game. Why does non-conformity to someone's prescribed view make you a scab or a ****? These forums are an excellent medium for folk who want to dominate others by wise-arse remarks; trouble is, folk do stand up for their own beliefs. It was said at the time that this period of disclosure would come and that those who represent football and it's supporters will have an opportunity to take it to the next level - time will now tell.
Pedantic as well eh? Well done. Anyhow, I'm done arguing with you, thanks for your support, sitting at home enjoying the game, typing away online about protesting.
Jus tell me how high boss.Tell me and I will tell my kids to save you the trouble boss.Did I do good boss?
Not pedantic – just a completely different word. Different words have different meanings you know. Further, where exactly have I mentioned what I did during the game? Furthermore, have you ever got off your fat arse to oppose or fight anything?
Why, when both, acting with opposing objectives, were dictating to others what they should do - it was that dictate that was the problem for one and all, not really the itinerary of travel. Some, who fairly saw themselves as victims of oppressive behaviour failed to see that they were doing the same to others with a different view of how to tackle the problem - it was a case of do as we say or you are below our contempt. If you Don't see that then there is very little point in this thread, as it's going nowhere.
Bollocks. I didn't go because I couldn't be arsed with the chew on getting there - and it was ****ing cold, so any excuse was a good one. At least I admit it ! Had I gone I would have done so in defiance of these restrictions - especially since I was planning to drive down with a HTFC supporting mate and would have sat in the prawny sarnie bit of the home end to avoid any potential of bother yet still been able to openly (but respectfully) enjoy some form of banter. Not that bother would be that likely anyway - he is in his 70's after all..... In the event we watched it in a nice warm pub after steak and chips and drank several pints of Robinson's hoptimus-prime, which despite being a manchester ale is damn fine tipple. Good result too.
So to stay in this thread do i have to talk about the WYP in a bad way DMD? Or do i talk about them shocking emails What do you feel my best action should be regarding the WYP ?
