Let it be. The ammo is there for the big lads and lasses (no one on here) to do what they are elected or paid to do. It will be a piss in a hurricane. Support your team, unless the piss-poor-politics is more important to you. And now we have, figuratively, gone full-circle. Enjoy your cub football, life is too full of piss-ant mini dramas.
Lets hope some of those journo's don't nip on here and trawl through some of the current threads. Some of you have just handed WYP and others more ammo than you could possibly realise. Utter ****wits.
A piece on it in the Yorkshire Post... http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news...-over-hull-fans-travel-ban-revealed-1-5811700 And the Huddersfield Examiner... http://www.examiner.co.uk/huddersfield-town-fc/huddersfield-town-news/2013/07/01/86081-33549469/? Hopefully at least one of the nationals will pick up on the story.
Mathew Grove, Humberside Police Crime Commissioner has sent a letter to his West Yorkshire equivalent, requesting an investigation into how this was handled.
All this information does is prove the case as we knew it before the Udders game. It is a surprise that anyone finds it surprising. If anything it may help stop this nonsense at grounds again. Such as what BLackburn v. Burnley fans may well have to do.
I don't think many football fans will be surprised , maybe other people might be after dismissing it all as football fans getting upset about nothing Happy Clapper , what ammo has been handed to WYP on this thread ? Links to youtube videos showing Hull City fans causing carnage that nobody else knows about ? Not sure what you mean
Yeah. I know this site is a Favourite on the WYP computers and also a point of reference for many leading newspapers.
I agree actually. The restrictions have been justified by 4 or 5 people on an Internet forum having a sick sense of humour. I must give my most humble apologies to you all.
Just seen Karl Turner in Look North saying that fans want 'an apology'. Not sure that cuts much ice with many. Let's see some arrogant WYP pig lose his job and pension. That's the only thing these corrupt turds understand.
The West Yorkshire Police Crime Commissioner has announced an investigation into the force's handling of the game... http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-19453035-detail/story.html?#axzz2XmK2pBr0
Indeed, but he now has no choice, as the actions of McManus are damaging the reputation of the force(if they had a reputation to damage).
It'd be good if 'Udders are compensated for all the empty seats in the away stand, as well. (c. 2,500?)
The problem they've now got, is that if they find they were at fault, they leave thereselves open to compensation claims. I said at the time of the radio interview, dead Head Ged sounded like a puppet put in the impossible position by his bosses of delivering a financial/political decision under a different heading.
Thank you for your e-mail about the actions of West Yorkshire Police in connection with the above football match. The Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire has issued the following statement in relation to this matter: Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire Mark Burns-Williamson said: "The publication, under the Freedom of Information Act, of emails between senior officers regarding the policing arrangements of the Huddersfield Town against Hull City fixture from March of this year has raised a number of issues for me. "Prior to the fixture I received a number of complaints from Hull City and Huddersfield Town supporters and their representatives following travel and other restrictions placed upon them as part of revised policing arrangements for a later kick-off. "The publication of emails in relation to the matter now casts doubt on the rationale behind some of those decisions. With that in mind I have asked the Chief Constable Mark Gilmore, who was not in post at the time, to conduct a rigorous review of the policing arrangements put in place for the fixture and to address the concerns raised. "To maintain the confidence of the public they serve, police forces must be able to clearly and justly support the decisions they make. It is with that commitment in mind that I have requested a thorough examination of the policing arrangements for the fixture. "If this review finds the Force failed to adequately consider the implications of decisions made at the time, I will seek reassurance from the Chief Constable that appropriate action to put matters right are taken, and ensure that lessons are learnt for the future. " Yours sincerely Karen Mrs Karen Grey Head of Casework and Accountability
