It will very like be something down to stress. Hope it's not a stress fracture. This is common in young players who are developing. It's not usually picked up until a scan or medical. Can only heal properly with rest. That seems to be the words KS is using too.
If it is,what does that mean in terms of recovery time?

Could it perhaps be that he thought he was just a "bit sore" but actually the medical shows if he doesn't rest he risks a longer term injury?

Might be he needs a couple of weeks of rehab before training?

Depends. I am just speculating. If it's that it can be a longer process. Will have to see.

Think it is mate. Someone OTR said it this morning well before it was announced

Stress fractures don't heal that quickly surely?

We must expect he'll be able to play a part. And Liverpool must do as well. If there was any chance this was gonna be months they'd likely have kept him to use him at the back end of season.

Saw someone earlier this morning (might have been otr) say it was a stress fracture in his back. If it is, what’s the average recovery time for that? Google says 6-8 weeks. If it’s that long he’s not really worth signing!

Hope not otherwise running the risk massively.
Apparently related to an injury he had previously

he was out for 6 months with a lower back stress fracture and came back in November

if it’s occurred again now I’m furious the club have signed him,

Phil Smith in his article reckons no party was aware of it, can’t be THAT serious surely

Yeh could be that his back is showing signs of stress but no actual fracture? I'm sure that's "seeable" in scans. So this might be pre-emptive rather than reactive.
Just said in a different reply Phil Smith reckons in his article no party was aware of it, definitely sounds pre-emptive, surely
