keen to start at the bottom and work his way up the leagues then. I’d consider leaving my assistant post with the u17s and kick start my management career with saints as well.

If this means we get Cooper I won't care. I do wonder how much we stood to save by appointing rohl as a championship club. It would be yet another cock up if we lost our primary target because of £1m or £2m.Ah.

We haven't even been remotely linked with Cooper though so we may not be interested in him.If this means we get Cooper I won't care. I do wonder how much we stood to save by appointing rohl as a championship club. It would be yet another cock up if we lost our primary target because of £1m or £2m.

Pretty sure he wanted to join back then and was pissed that the owner didn't let him. That how Wednesday fans interpreted the situation at least.Rohl would’ve known if there was interest in him back in December. No way he would’ve committed to us then when we were down. Good chance he would’ve had calls for him to be sacked now as well if we did appoint him in December.
I know it was a long time ago and he has probably learned a lot but he did get a good Boro team relegated.Cooper has the potential and possibly the only other one on the list I’d consider, I think he’s been a bit unlucky at the clubs that he’s been to that they’ve got rid too soon or when there were other things at play.
Arguably he need another club who are equally invested in him as he is in them.
I agree with Southgate about the lack of experience but I think a lot of people will jump on the anti bandwagon because of the way we exited tournaments.
Has he been pants, yes, is he capable of change, yes, can he make players better, I’d argue yes.
I’m not an SR hater out and out like some others, but I wonder whether they’ve got it in them to think outside the box and be bold with the appointment.
Id love to see a Cooper appointment work, but I’m always a bit wary of managers like him that come in with a sign round their neck that says “replace within 12-18 months”.
Tend to agree, I reluctantly put Dyche. I know the football will be pragmatic and dull, but will still be better than watching Martinball. Dyche achieves as a ruleSean Dyche is probably the best manager of all that lot. Two Championship promotions (one of which was the title), kept a low-budget Burnley in the Prem for years, and got them to Europe, did a pretty sound job at Everton. He's certainly far, far better than Farke, Rosenior, Mowbray and Carrick.
For me, Rohl, Dyche or Cooper would be excellent. Carrick decent. The rest I'd be disappointed tbh.
Not saying we have. But the only manager we have a definite interest is Rohl, if he goes elsewhere then Cooper is as likely as anyone and would be top of my list.We haven't even been remotely linked with Cooper though so we may not be interested in him.

If we get Wagner, there is zero chance of me renewing my season ticket. The latest rumour is our “long list” is Rohl, Rosenior, Wagner and Lampard. The only one of those who would officially join us before early June is Wagner. We’ve got a couple of months of awesome speculation incoming

No Rooney? So for what feels like the umpteenth time in the last few years it's new manager time for next season so who do you want?
Options can be added/removed as and when.
No Rooney?
Rooney Mara was good in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. We'd have more chance with Mickey Rooney, and he died in 2014.
Books were better.Rooney Mara was good in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
