My views on this haven't changed:

Rosenior is easily my no.1 choice. But I don't see him leaving Strasbourg to join us.

Farke is my 2nd choice. But his availability requires Leeds to once again miss out on the top two and lose the play-offs.

Cooper is my 3rd choice. And we could even put him in place for the final couple of games of the season.

After that I have Carrick as my 4th choice. Rohl as my 5th choice. Mowbray as my 6th choice.

I continue to struggle to decide how I would feel about Dyche. I wouldn't go anywhere near Gerrard.

Sean Dyche is probably the best manager of all that lot. Two Championship promotions (one of which was the title), kept a low-budget Burnley in the Prem for years, and got them to Europe, did a pretty sound job at Everton. He's certainly far, far better than Farke, Rosenior, Mowbray and Carrick.

For me, Rohl, Dyche or Cooper would be excellent. Carrick decent. The rest I'd be disappointed tbh.

Farke has two Championship promotions too - and they were both titles.

I think the difference between us might be that I'm not focused on the season after next season. Promotion is my sole focus. I just want an enjoyable season with a successful ending.

Although interesting to see how Moyes has improved Everton since Dyche went

Remember …
WE BEAT THEM!!!

Yeah Scott Parker is on his way to getting a third promotion, so I guess we can't read too much into it. The difference is that Dyche is able to do it in the Prem too. Farke has been relegated both times he was in the Prem. And now he is on the verge of bottling it with Leeds for the second season in a row. Hard pass from me.

Dyche actually had a higher overall win percentage at Everton than Moyes has in his first 13 games. Moyes just had a new manager bounce, but they'll fade. Dyche was very good when he took them over, but they stagnated due to lack of decent signings.

Danny Rohl and give him a proper striker like we should have Ralph. Strong, fast, versatile and creative forward players please. Keep Fernandes, Downes & THB - sell the rest and reinvest properly! Shea & Ronnie to play key roles too

I’ve suggested before and I haven’t changed my mind, because he is still scoring goals, that we should try and get Josh Sargent from Norwich, especially if they miss the playoffs. 14 goals, 5 assists in 26 games this season. He’s contracted until 2028 though, so could be costly.

Defo not a bad shout for getting us promoted, but might struggle in the Prem. I genuinely think that Onuachu would get us same sort of return as someone like Sargent, if not better, but we have to build the whole system around him, something I think a Dyche or Cooper would do.

For me, if we’re gonna go for an exciting, high press style football under Rohl, which I want to see personally, we need an Isak type player, direct, skill full, has pace and can press, but still tall and physical. They are the only type of players that can do it at top level for me and we gotta be going for that mould of player, even if Championship.

I know not typical no.9’s but the type of players I wanna see us sign are Eze & Semenyo - strong, fast, fight for everything and smashed it for QPR & Bristol City in Championship not so long ago. These type players can adapt to Prem imo

I love the idea of getting an Isak type player <laugh>
