The film 1970's sci-fi when there's too many people and not enough food, turn the dead bodies into green high protein biscuits. It's ****e.

Was leading (pushing actually) a stubborn cow into the milking parlor when it coughed and farted at the same time, covered me in **** from head to toe. The bitch.

Similar thing happened to me once going up the stairs in Romeos back in the 80's.

Lordy I wonder if id last an hour in Big Brother! I mean there are wimmin in there, gays, some folk not sure, probably veggies, god botherers! Jesus H Christ twould be a minefield.

I respect your choice and acknowledge that you've clearly done your research. I'm also not against veganism at all (if thats how I came across), I think most people would benefit from eating largely vegan diets but believe cutting out lean meats completely is unnecessarily restrictive.

However that statement is completely inaccurate, to say plant based proteins are 'healthier' is just false, health is entirely subjective and depends entirely on what aspect of nutrition you compare, there's plenty of evidence both ways and can consider everything from fat content, amino acids, pesticides, hormones, impact of insulin, bioavailability...etc, to just say plant protein is healthier is a bit misleading.

And there is little evidence to say vegan diets 'increase athletic performance'. The overwhelming majority of the worlds top athletes are omnivorous, they have access to the best trainers, nutritionists and scientists in the world. Margins in professional sport are so tight do you not think if there was anything they could do to gain a slight advantage then they'd do it? There simply isn't any convincing evidence to suggest veganism increases performance, when there is I expect to see far more vegan athletes. Granted there are a few vegan athletes at the top level but most of these made the majority of their muscular and endurance gains on omnivorous diets before turning vegan later in life and very few are the best at what they do.
Good post !

OK, Ta. Over here, they're like a poor man's sausage roll (but with thicker and less flaky pastry).
Yeah not the same thing at all tbh.

Chipolata type sausages normally, the right length for a little bit to stick out each end once you've wrapped the bacon round, and the bacon has to the streaky kind. Roasted in the oven, bloody lovely they are.

The majority of these animals would not exist without human intervention.

Eating high protein, high energy meat is what brought early man out of the forests.

I agree with the first bit. Hardly any of our choice vegetables can survive without human intervention either. "Weeds" out-compete them all the time.

I disagree with the second, and suggest you confuse meat-eating with domination. Homo sapiens isn't content with dominating all other living species, but wants to dominate other humans too. Even that isn't enough. Homo rapiens (the r is deliberate) wants to dominate nature itself, and even goes so far as to ask for divine intervention to get his own way. Hell, and if we can't have our own way we will even invent stories that pretend everything IS as we want it. Men didn't come down from the trees to find meat, they came down to dominate. And don't you dare contradict me!

I'm saying we dominate because we eat meat. Cooking our food, particularly meat, means our bodies use around 25% less energy during the digestion process. It's no coincidence that our modern brains are around 25% larger than our ancestors and we have shorter bowels. Eating this way gave early man more time to learn and farming only sped the process up. Gradually we get large groups cooperating (and fighting of course) and we start to mould our environment to suit our needs. Civilisation is born and instead of living with the world, we start to destroy it and we've been doing it ever since. Would we be better off had we never started down this path? I don't know, but the planet certainly would be. We are where we are because we're parasitic omnivores.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I remember at school being told we have incisor teeth specifically for ripping meat.

The development of consciousness had something to do with it as well.
