I don't know all the details but I don't think this 'burger' is grown from cells, if that's what you mean by "chemically engineered in a lab", but rather it's put together from existing plant matter. I don't see why you can't be against animals being slaughtered for food, but still enjoy something that taste likes meat. I'm not a vegetarian or a vegan by the way.
Watch this. All of it. With an open mind. Then go look in the mirror with honesty. Then let's see who still supports eating meat.
I didn't think it'd take that long. I support it. Cognitive dissonance, animal rape, fish are for friends, not for food, etc.
Surprised this thread continues. It suggest the following: There is a recognition in 2016 that a human animal can sustain itself and live out a lengthy life without any need for animal-derived sustenance. Recognizing this can cause pangs of conscience for those who enjoy animal foods yet knowing that that enjoyment necessitates the raising of many animals in discomfot and the termination of their lives quite often in a painful manner. To "deal" with this discomfort, those who eat animal foods tend to seek support from each other to corroborate very spurious allegations regarding vegans, vegan culture, & vegan lifestyles. Live with your discomfort - don't character assassinate the messenger - ultimately it will not lessen your gnawing conscience.
In the US last week saw on display in a womens clothes shop a 'Vegan Leather Jacket', $39.00. God knows what that was made of.
Higuain has smashed a few lunches this summer...none of which were vegan by the looks of it?! Move over Jon Parkin
Parents who feed children vegan diet face prosecution under proposed Italian law https://www.theguardian.com/lifeand...n-vegan-diet-prosecuted-italian-law?CMP=fb_gu
One reason is veganism stunts brain development in growing children. Not just children judging by some posters.
Describing it as faux leather isn't as good a selling point. Is polyurethane as enviromentally unsound as PVCs?
It's normally referred to as PU Leather, it's generally only referred to as Vegan Leather on women's clothes aimed at students. PU is much less damaging to the environment and has replaced PVC in the fashion industry.
I can't take a vegan seriously if they promote this man. He compares animal farming to the holocaust and has claimed impregnating dairy cows is no different to a human woman being raped. Not to mention the amount of pseudo-science and outright lies in that speech. If you want to be a vegan then that's your choice but don't use that man as your spokesperson because he undermines everything you stand for.
