The labour party won because people wanted the Tories out. Just look at how badly keirs approval rating has dropped when people realised what they were actually getting

The Tories certainly helped. But Labour clearly made themselves more electable in exchange for being less principled, in a very deliberate way. You don't have to like or respect it, I don't necessarily, but I'm glad they did it in order to get in. It's the game politicians have to play now in order to get into power in the system we have.

Stuff about withdrawing from nato that ive seen and allowing russia to do whatever
The impact on uk economy will be miniscule i think

Obviously domestic usa stuff is probably bad, but doesnt affect me

It depends on what he decides to do regarding tariffs because that seems to be the only economic policy he has really talked about at large. He seems to think that tariffs are fines paid by the country they are imposed on, but if it's all foreign imports, then anybody in the UK who sells to the USA is going to be impacted. I'm sure he'll have at least one sane economic advisor who will make sure he doesn't go mental with it so we might catch a break, but I doubt it.

"Bent judges/prosectuors" - Evidence or you're lying.

"conviction timed for the election" - the US election cycle is 18 months long, there's always politics, pointless to claim it was to stop him trying when there's no law against felons running for office.

"they were all bollocks" - they weren't, he was found guilty by a jury selected by both the prosecution and the defence.

"Who was the victim in the fraud case?" The banks and people he defrauded by inflating the price of his properties to get loans he wasn't entitled to, derp.

"Property worth $60m was only worth $18m - that'd be just after the huge property market bubble burst right? Couldn't imagine why property was much less valuable then.

"Why don't you list what his real issues are?" I did. The point you're so beautifully making for me is that people like yourself don't actually see them as issues, you think it's all a conspiracy against him.

"Kangaroo court" - actual court, with actual legal ramifications in a legal case undertaken by legal professionals. If that had been Biden, Raskin or Buttigeig in the dock, you wouldn't have blinked twice would you?

"He was never an epstein customer" - well then, you'll have more willingness to open the Epstien files than Trump apparently does, then we'll know. Because despite what Trump says, we know they were friends, we know that they attended parties together, people have come forward (which you'll no doubt belittle as women trying to make money off him) and said he abused them. And even if he isn't, it's stunning that the line his fanbase take is "well, he hasn't ****ed a kid", as if that's the limit they're willing to go to in order to excuse his behaviour. If there is actually a list that proves whoever is on it is guilty of CSE, then whoever is on it, no matter their politics, religion or humanitarian efforts should never taste freedom again. I'm guessing if Trump is on it, you'll say exactly what Trump will, that it's fake news.

Ask yourself this, did you want the Republicans to win because of their values, or did you just want Trump to win because he's a poor diddums? The ****er's a billionaire ****bag who lies easier than he blinks, it isn't difficult to dislike him but is difficult to work out what exactly it is that people think he's so amazing at, because with any other person the bad points would instantly outweigh anything good.

A little bit of me is glad he won, because I think the only way people are going to see the problem is to experience it for themselves and they're quickly going to realise that the Democrats, trans people and people from Latin America weren't the source of their gripes.

There are plenty in the business who can give you counselling to help you cope. Most of us just carry on without having a nervous breakdown.

Spot on, they effectively expunged the left wing part of the party which alienated a lot of younger people and those who stand with Palestinians and more socialist ideas. Which worked and got them into power, but they don't seem very keen on taking up the ideals that that made them more appealing to the Tories in the first place.

What were Harris’s plans regarding the economy? Don’t know as she never mentioned economics.

The Conservatives p!ssed us all off, they blew a huge majority with sleaze and utter stupidity. It will take a superhuman effort by Badenoch(or whoever they have in charge in 4 years time) to rebuild a party in time for the next general election.

Labour reaped the benefits of disillusioned Tories not turning up to vote(why would they)? And since the election the Labour Party have made cock-up after cock-up and their own support has dwindled. The alternative is Farage FFS.

Most honest, hard working Britain's are totally disillusioned with the whole lot of it and rightly so...Our Country is rudderless!!

It was a two minute response pal, hardly a breakdown.

Apparently if you respond point by point to someone it's a breakdown, but if you give a short, concise response you're 'ignoring points raised'. Another example of not having an option in a discussion with some people that they'll accept.

Then what were you referring to as being 'overblown' when the majority of the discussion is the impact Trump will have on the US?

He will have a direct impact on Europe though considering he'll allow Putin free reign.

I don't get the idea that putin wants to take over Europe. IF there was a seed 8n his mind to recreate the old big Russia why didn't he go south first and pick up some minor easier places rather then head first into the west back garden.
I did live out there for a while and know like Moldova/transnistria there are a lot of people who found themselves on the wrong side of a border.
It really is much more complicated than the land grab the media present.

They only got 20% of the eligible voters voting for them. Hardly a ringing endorsement.

Completely agree...if we went to the polls tomorrow I've honestly no idea what I'd do.

I don't think labour will have a sniff next election though once people have 5yrs of kier

I didn't say Putin wanted to take over Europe?

Russians were in other states in the USSR because they were an occupying force.
