well well well... cheers for your time TM.

enjoyed the time with him at the helm, worked well with the young lads and gained plenty of supporters for his management, was not the choice for most of us but was the ideal man at the time so wish him all the best.

just to add, i am actually happy this has happened now...i would have liked to see him turn it round but then if it turned to complete sh1t it could have turned the fans view of him, this way he keeps his head high and (i guess) a warm welcome from us all if he comes to the SoL.

It's the right call for me. Why drag it out when he's clearly getting replaced in the summer anyway.

Also got to consider Swansea in the market + Sheffield United will be soon.

Potter would be a dream
McKenna would be difficult
The young English lad at Reims?
I think this just about sums up my thoughts. I'm a big fan of Tony but it's a results driven business, get the new man in early to assess the squad before the January window.

Aye. Was planning an early night. Now the wine is open and the wife knows there is no conversation happening for the next 2 hours

Ha. Not for me. Time to hit the hay.

However, for those who are fuming with this call just remember, maybe if the model had some flex Mowbray may still be here.

It's really the model or you're out. Speak out or don't buy in, you're out. Tough job for someone to achieve relentless progress with such a young team.

But that's the job and there will be plenty of head coaches who want it. Probably European.

A “journo” put something online yesterday about us looking for a new manager and OGS was on the shortlist.

Fully agree with this. Tough ask. Confidence appears over time with experience unless you’re elite.
