Probably not a cat in hells chance we would get Potter I’m sure he’s already turned down bigger jobs. But it definitely wouldn’t be a money thing for him he got a huge payout from Chelsea. Think he just wants the right project. Fabio Grosso and Pierre Aristouy both left their clubs in Ligue 1 last week, in Lyon and Nantes.

Last season we played some of the best football I've ever seen us play....liquid football. Mowbray wouldn't have been anywhere near most fans choices, but bloody hell, he had us playing some wonderful football. I liked the bloke, and would have been happy to see if he could have turned it around.
It's the right call for me. Why drag it out when he's clearly getting replaced in the summer anyway. Also got to consider Swansea in the market + Sheffield United will be soon. Potter would be a dream McKenna would be difficult The young English lad at Reims?
Thank you Tony Mowbray for giving us a team that knew what wearing the shirt meant, that played some beautiful attacking football and had me desperate for the next game. Time will tell if this is the right decision, but this leaves a sour taste at present
Reading the article again it talks about the “interim period” and “process to find a new head coach” and refers to such several times. Makes me less confident that there is somebody ready to step in this week. Could be the Dodds and Proctor show for Saturday and I think we all know how happy that will make @Prehab26
Right, shock has died down and in a strange way I’m relieved. I love Tony Mowbray and I love how he made me feel about my club last season. And I’m pleased that that hasn’t been ruined. Few managers get to leave Sunderland with their heads held high. Thanks for what you gave us Mogga.
Was trying to get to sleep there. No chance now mate. The Dodds and Proctor terror's will haunt me through the night.
Not sure what I think but no matter what I appreciate TM a lot. Most proud of a Sunderland team and most enjoyable was last seasons in my lifetime. Football was tremendous and he had no right to do that with the circumstances he was dealing with. Hoping we are trying to take a step forward but I really do appreciate the bloke and I’ll admit I was wrong to be disappointed with his appointment.
