Proud to be British, it's not thatthey're winning, it's the way they are so humble when they win, it makes a refreshing change from the self absorbed vainglorious sportstars (footballers) we're used to, Rooney and co could learn a thing or 2 from them, sadly they wont.
The heptathlon is a tough event. But i've edited it to make it more relevant in the modern world. Round 1: Ironing Round 2: Hoovering Round 3: Shopping Round 4: Make the beds Round 5: Polishing Round 6: Fill the car up Round 7: Make dinner. If Britain are successful now, just wait until these rules come into effect.
Now Wayne Rooney and team England is a turnoff and just utter ****e, hopefully these new REAL! role models arriving now will result in less chavs on the streets ****ing up this country. The USA can have them for all I ****ing care, be chucking out the trash anyway!
CongratulationsTeam GB! A golden day for all our Olympic winners but a special mention for Jessica Ennis, who made our nation so, SO proud! You know what folks? We have some super people in this country…
Yup. It's not often that I'm patriotic but I'm proud of the lot of them. Just seen Andy Murray annihilate Roger Federer for tennis gold - magnificent!
Makes me wish I was back in blighty to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy our success with my fellow countrymen. Hopefully it's giving everybody over there something to feel proud of, given all the problems there have been in recent years.
How many other countries can you arrive illegally and get looked after as one does in the UK, only GREAT BRITAIN as far as I am aware provides such support for the needy, it may not be perfect but its pretty ****ing good, housing, medical care, welfare, food, education the list goes on and on. What pisses me off is why do some not appreciate what is essentially given to them freely and without retribution, also it was given by the tax paying population of the UK and not by God or Allah or by some form of black magic. This is Great Britain and if you don't like it and can't fit in then don't try to change it but go back to where you came from and stay there.
You know, after our success in Beijing, it's exactly what I had hoped for but couldn't really believe because of all the political side of it. That side goes on, unfortunately, with Boris taking all the credit, yet again, for something he didn't do and now being touted as next Prime Minister. For this reason, and others too, I'm so glad and proud that the British competitors are getting the results and the genuine credit for their achievements.
I find it hard to believe too but if they played it, I was fortunate enough to miss it. It's a contender for worst song of all time for me.
Especially for you, Max!!! ;p
Aaargh! When people say that the Eighties were vacuous, this is the reason. I mean, WTF is this song about? "Absolutely nothing, say it again" to quote another song.
