Schumacher's got valid excuses for some of that but he is the second most under performing team-mate this year. Although I didn't expect him to beat Rosberg this year I did expect him to get a good points hall. Still doing far better than Massa though
Ferrari would be brave/foolish to retain him considering the season he's having. Only today, Luca is talking about winning the title, you need 2 competitive drivers to do that, Ferrari are in danger of being left behind soon.
A good solid performance from Massa today, all weekend in fact, but can he keep it up and will it make a difference? Massa's worst fault for me is his lack of consistency during a race, he starts fast enough then sort of drifts out of it slowly and I was expecting more of the same but he finished a respectable 6 seconds behind Alonso. Are things turning for Massa, or was it justa one off?
I hope today was the start of a fresh start for Massa. If he can keep getting better, and get back to his best, then he deserves the Ferrari seat, if he flails around in mediocrity, then Perez/Kobayashi/Di Resta deserve a shot in the 2nd car.
Its too early to eat any humble pie, but a good race at last. Now if he keeps it going he'll be worth his seat again.

Massa will collapse again at the next race. He did well in monaco but not as good as he should of done. The team were expecting him to jump Hamilton and vettel on the pit stops and he failed
It was the teams fault for keeping him on the same set of tyres too long when he was losing time.
Nah, he could've done what Alonso did, i.e go purple on a lap, maybe 2, when the others pit, and get the jump
The problem for Massa yesterday was being trapped behind Alonso when he was faster, he kept it going though, which is rare these days for him
I think it was more the case Alonso was keeping clear of Hamilton to preserve his tyres so he could get those fastest laps to jump him at the 1st pit stop. letting Massa past could of jeoperdised that podium position
I think one of the beeb pundits (it may have been Gary Anderson) explained Massa's sudden resurgence pretty well. Monaco was a low speed track, where aero deficiencies are hidden due to the low speeds. Massa is clearly struggling with the balance of the car in higher speed corners, and it's making him slow.
He's always had the speed, consistency has been his problem. A few races last year he was very close to Alonso, arguably quicker in Canada and China. His performance on Sunday probably saved his seat for the rest of the year, but unless he can convince Ferrari that he can keep it up, he won't be in a Ferrari next year.
When was the last time massa beat alonso "fair and square". I mean without retirements or car failures etc.
