You’ve took 2+2 and pulled 7 out of your arses.
That's because nothing you've said adds up.

You may be right but I doubt it'll be anything out of the usual ...
... Mowbray appears infinitely more sanguine than some on social media.

True, but his comments about having a striker through the door for a few days by the Cov presser...... clearly not the case, so you wonder where the process has broken down and what he'll make of itYou may be right but I doubt it'll be anything out of the usual ...

What’s difficult to understand about saying that we don’t need more youngsters when we have already have quality kids on the bench who can’t get a game already because of other youngsters performing on the pitch? It’s hardly Swahili..

Do you write his narrative ? Cos that sounds about spot onI'm really confused by all the comments along the lines of "Mowbray's presser is going to be extremely awkward" etc... He'll probably just say "the player we were hoping to sign didn't get across the line in the end but we have other targets we're working on" or something like that, and move on. This stuff happens all the time in football![]()
I hear what you are saying Smug, the point I'm making is that Mowbray said on SaturdaySorry but that's exactly the kind of wild exaggeration you won't be hearing.
A car going through an enforced 20mph zone hasn't necessarily broken down.

"I think by the next time we meet we'll have been working for a few days with a striker and hopefully he can help the team"
The press conference is tomorrow, so am keen to hear what he says next (on the assumption we don't get anyone in today). You assume he wouldn't have gone so public with timelines unless he'd had assurances. Given the complete radio silence from the club and the absence of the merest whiff of a rumour it's going to be interesting to get the latest update.

With respect, we've known we are short up front since the 1st day of this year. Granted we brought in a couple of kids for the long term, but here we are 8 months later with 1 fit striker and potentially another 5 league games until Stewart is even close to being on the bench. I appreciate and respect the model, but is there some flexibility in it to go beyond the budget for the here and now?I'm really confused by all the comments along the lines of "Mowbray's presser is going to be extremely awkward" etc... Not sure I said he would, and if it sounded like that was the implication I apologise. Just think it's going to be interesting to hear an update because it's been absolute radio silence in the few days - no even an online rumour from a wannabe ITK. Absolutely nowt. If nothing happens today, got to assume it's Dack up front again on Sat - whilst I appreciate the long term, strategy, we are potentially sacrificing the first 10 games of the season in the hope Stewart comes back as good as newYes but it doesn't mean he'd be annoyed at anyone in the club. He might know the reasons why it hasn't happened yet and know there was nothing the club could do about it.
I assume he'd much rather wait an extra week to get the player he / we wants rather than forget that player and sign somebody else just because he'd said something in a press conference / interview.
That said, you're right it will be interesting. But then its always interesting to hear from the club during the window!

The "other kid" I was referring to was Mayenda, not JobeThat's just guesswork mate.
Another guess would be we've learned that having Stewart as the main man is a mistake in a long season. People may dismiss them irrelevant kids but one has already played and might well have come on, against Rotherham, even if Stewart had been playing.
Hemir was very close to scoring and that other younger 'kid for the future' did even better.
Also 'radio silence' is what's previously been lacking at the club ...
... I don't see it as the bad thing you appear to.

You literally made a sarcastic calling of Clarke s a “golden boy”. There is no other way that was meant. Which, as I said, insinuates you think Ba, who has shown a few minor glimpses but nothing more, should replace him.How the **** do you assume that because I’ve mentioned numerous times we have too many youngsters that we can’t get on the pitch and then finally used Ba as an example that means I think Clarke should be dropped?
If I said I think Clarke should be dropped I would’ve said “Clarke should be dropped.”
You’ve took 2+2 and pulled 7 out of your arses.
You like asking questions but seem totally unfamiliar with the concept of answers ...
... your only response is more shouting and swearing.
Fingers crossed.Let’s see what today brings. I’m sure @Wheatsheaf said Wednesday could be a goer, things tend to drag on so might not be exact but there’s obviously something possible in the next couple of days. If it’s a striker we can have an argument about them instead of press conferences
