It feels like a bad sign that we’re managing to do deals for Cirkin, Patterson, Hume etc (although obvs getting those signed up are brilliant things in themselves) but Stewart who we’ve known needs a new deal for over a year now is still not done

I’ve already assumed Stewart is off, that or the club are reluctant to offer what he wants based on the severity of his injury and his recuperation.

I'm very close to this position mate.
I've noticed Ross is in the minority to not put anything on social media at all (he maybe just can't be arsed) since the season finished. Unless I've totally missed it!

It's also noteworthy how many of these lads are signing new contracts, relatively quickly, and his has been going on for a while. Although his injury has probably halted negotiations. Just shows the club are willing to up the players money to a degree, but maybe Ross is just asking too much?!?!

He had a face like a slapped arse when the players did their lap of appreciation at the last home game. He looked to me like he wanted to be away.

i think we will hear very soon ( the club know the fans have been quiet and not really pushed it ) or we will soon get an inkling through the transfers, i doubt they will let him go unless they have incomings to appease the fans.

personally, although i would love to see the lad stay i feel sure the club and recruitment will be on top of it.

That's whtlat is putting me back tbh. Longer it goes on, the less likely imo.

Surely the only reason to offer a player with an active buy back clause a new deal and wage increase would be a charm offensive, which would imply he is able to veto that buy back clause! Otherwise, it makes no sense to pay him more money until the clause has elapsed.

That was the moment I lost interest in him ...

... total lack of respect for people who'd supported him through the good times and his injuries.

F**k him, I'm off to bed <laugh>

What we have with Cirks, Roberts and tk a lesser degree Clarke (our holy trinity as it were), is that they have GOT the club and they see it.

They love the club and hey see what we ‘can’ be and wanna have a bit.

We need to deliver, but players like these 3 deliver, and keep it.

All of them make the step up to PL, along with Ballard, Stewart(if here) and Hume, Neil.

Ba, Bennette & Eiwah have that potential too.
