Pep said Xhaka does the best for his teammates and is special. That trait has always stood out. A proper team man above all. He wont sulk around the place imo. If I thought he was that type I wouldnt want him here.

Ten Haag’s comments seem slightly bizarre. It could be a clever move to reduce the pressure on him if things don’t go well. At least he’s on record saying he’s opposed to this deal. Still, it creates the appearance of a wedge between him and the sporting director.

I reckon if Xhaka wants the move it happens. He’s the captain, he’s well respected at the club. You’d like to think that’s a two way street. Delivered them an unbeaten league title and I’m sure they won a domestic cup that season too.
