The club must’ve given us permission to talk to him so Ten Bob’s just bumping his gums to save fyass.

Absolutely. They're trying to toughen their stance to get the best price because Xhaka's agent has just torpedoed their ability to negotiate by declaring that there's only one club effectively in the race.

They are clearly prepared to sell or we wouldn't have been able to agree terms with him (and have it openly announced).

I’m not on social media but I’d imagine people are upset that they were hoping this would be sorted quickly and it looks like it probably won’t be
As I said in my eyes nothing has changed, clubs still discussing a fee, once it’s agreed it’ll be done quick.

Here we go still hasn’t been said by Fab, Sky reckon we’re close with a fee being agreed so let’s wait and see.

The fact we’re talking about a player leverkusen don’t want to lose says enough. To get someone of that quality won’t be easy. Him wanting the move is the hard part, I back the club to get it done from here. If we don’t it’ll be because the finances are silly and that’s fine. I think he’ll be here this time next week but let’s see

That's usually the way. Everyone wants to think they've got a good deal.

As for Ten Hag, if I were him, I'd keep quiet, given what others at his club have said. If the player does move, to here or anywhere, he will look ridiculous.

Though looking ridiculous is nowt new to him!
Just suspect he is knarked at this agent behaviour. I would be too. Poor form to go public in such a way. Ten Hag wont expect to have much influence in reality. But he has walked into a job where they look to be regressing significantly on the pitch and he is following Xabi. Probably just lashing out in his frustration. He is going to struggle with the squad having lost the 3 lads already. That is before Xhaka.

There's a high chance, even if it was straight forward, that this would drag onto next week anyway. He'll probably fly back to Germany with Leverkusen and see his family first, then come over here.

He's came out publicly and said he wants to come, imo there's a 99% chance he does.

We are still by far favourites for relegation.
The odds are quite high against us staying up.

I think it’s a good time to put money on us staying up.
In the two first halves in Portugal we looked a lower mid Premier team and the way things seem to be going transfer wise we could finish comfortably mid table.

Are any bookies offering this? Only season long I can find are "champions" "top 4" "top half" "relegated"... Where can I bet on us surviving???

Their squad is still absolutely loaded mate. They were really heavy in midfield anyway.

They’ve got the super Palacios & Garcia. The retain Hoffman, they have Tella, Grimaldo and just signed Tillman.

They aren’t struggling.

Yep, that's fair enough. I don't rate him really, but it's a tough job as you say, following Xabi and with no hope of emulating him and then players shipping out.

It's as if there was a plan they hadn't told him about!

Mind, I don't for one minute think that this agent was speaking off the cuff. They choreograph their bowel movements these days.
