I had Jobe in mind instead of Ballard, but you're right to include him.Rather we sold Clarke than Neil, Rigg and Ballard. He was definitely our main threat last season but we seem to now have more balance in the team.
We’ve had about 4 deals very close and tried for a few strikers. Saying “it’s not on” m, for me, assumes the club haven’t tried, when they blatantly have
Yeah for 4 transfer widowsThey have a problem with closing deals for strikers. It’s a fact.

I agree with that and I agree think it’s likely our striker wages aren’t competitive, but equally I wouldn’t want to pay high wages unless we’re certain of they’re temporary/ get riddable. They have a problem with closing deals for strikers. It’s a fact.
Mepham and Samed are clearly an indication of using the Clarke money even if they are just loan signings. The loan fees and wage contributions will be high considering where they are coming from. Aleksic and the rumoured lad from Belgium is an indication that we are increasing the quality of our younger signings because we have more money to spend. The Clarke money is being spent.
However, failing to secure a striker will be really, really poor. When you sell a player for a big fee you can't come away from the window without our biggest need being filled. Simply inexcusable.
I dont care if we spent 1 or 5 million on a striker as long as they fit our system and can contribute NOW
Trying is all well and good but it's time to get the job done. We have big money in the bank and a serious shot at promotion. We’ve had about 4 deals very close and tried for a few strikers. Saying “it’s not on” m, for me, assumes the club haven’t tried, when they blatantly have
We dont know how isidor will do tho, i get we need another striker but Isidor hasnt even kicked a ball yet so he might actually be the perfect striker for usthis is going to sound reactionary but if we don’t bring in a strong number 9 then I think we’re wasting our time with the strong loan signings. Both of them are clearly aimed at promotion this year. Promotion will not happen with our current forward options, so why block the development of our players, and waste the Clarke money, with senior loans.
It's normal though Scout, we've missed out on the two main ones, yeah they were hyped up, but I think people kept their cool and hoped rather than expected. You know the supposed alternatives in this situation, others probably don't, we again look like we have failed to sign that no.9 we crave. Isidor, I think will be good and might well be a striker, he's got more about him than Rusyn, but its still up in the air.God folk losing the plot already, lets wait n see who we bring in and how we look at the end of the window
No point moaning about things until it actually closes, then we will be able to tell how we feel about the window
