Well I went to bed last night down in the dumps but once the sun came out over Roker riviera things don’t seem so bad . Good luck to JC and thanks for your efforts, welcome Wilson all the best for the future, here’s hoping Simic is announced around teatime keep the faith looking forward to tomorrow.
I’m not looking forward to meeting me m8 to night he makes Northumberland Rocks look like a barrel of laughs COME ON

Commiserations marra.....I have a mate like that....I've been trying to avoid him for over 60 years, with no success!!:emoticon-0105-wink:

Wrong mate we were obviously beating away the 30/40 million pound offers people think he’s worth

Harte is a total money grabber.

Does anyone believe he'd have settled for less than Clarke is worth.

Just because Sunderland accepted the bid Harte/Clarke was under no obligation to leave.

But that's enough facts for the moment ...

... I'll stand aside and let wild speculation have a turn <laugh>

Gutted about Clarke but it was inevitable, I honestly think the agent is mostly to blame, the player looked happy and performed like a player enjoying his football.

I think £15m+£5m is a steal honestly and Ipswich have done well to get that deal, I think he has a very decent chance to prove himself at that level and even in the event of an Ipswich relegation they should be able to make a small profit on him, if that's what they choose to do.

Is he a new poster on here from otr

It was the right price otherwise another club would've paid more.
For Ipswich not SAFC. So if someone offers you a crap price for your house do you just accept it? We have accepted it because we need the money to buy strikers.

If we had owners like Ipswich who had some balls we wouldn’t be in this situation.

if it wasnt for these owners we wouldn't have had Clarke in the first place
be in the Championship attracking better calibre of players than Will Grigg, Kyle Lafferty and George Dobson

But you don't know it's £15m, reports say £15 plus add ons so it's a lot more. I personally think they got him for a low price if it's in 20 but we have to make a decision and it seems we need the money to get our own players in before the window closes. Ill say again the 2/3 forwards we seem to be aiming for makes us a better all round team
I don’t disagree with what you are saying. If it was £20 to £25m with add ons I think that’s acceptable.

the problem for me without sounding like a broken record is we have accepted a low offer because we need a couple of strikers in. If the owners had shown some balls snd invested in a couple of strikers we may have got £25m next week when premier league clubs go mad.

Once again, show me a club buying players of an adequate level who have not sold someone first. Show me.

@Northumberland Rocks .....I posed the question earlier....apart from Ipswich, have you or anyone else on here heard of any serious interest for Jack from any other Prem clubs?
Your question is irrelevant. We don’t need to sell Clarke. He is under contract for two years. We have taken a cheap offer because we are desperate to buy strikers.

if the owners had bought strikers we could have held out for more money for Clarke.

You’re right there

Some right cock suckers despite the BCB shambles.
I must be one then, because although it wasn’t what I’d have done it wasn’t a major **** up to me. I also look for the positives in what KLD & co are doing(of which they far out way the negatives).
Just for clarity I’ve never chowed a cheb end.
