Romano isnt saying that. Total package is 20m including adds ons and sell on.

It's why sky and the athletic were happy to say it was under serious consideration yday.
Ok maybe I've misunderstood his tweet but i reckon itll be a large amount paid up straight away rather than installments

Be interesting if the clubs annouced the fee or not

Yeah. That will be the difference. No doubt about it.

Gonna give my hopefully measured view.

If its 15 million up front and Spurs are getting a cut, it's not good. If we sign Simic as well you're looking at about 5 million left to sign a replacement, which is what I'm told we are planning.

I've always said, £25 million should be the minimum and premiums should be added the further along we got, so I can't go back on that thought. However, I get that the clubs hand may have been forced.

Clarke wanted to leave for the Prem and he's in his prime so can't be slated for leaving, he's too good for this level.

Hopefully Simic signs and Isidor is a striker option as opposed to a wide option.

Big moves needed in the next few days, think with two forwards signing, Rusyn will have to go, Ekwah still up in the air, Ba in a tough position and half of our defenders could potentially leave.

I'll take a pragmatic approach to this.. Clarke is a great player and is ambitious. He wants to play at the highest level and be paid the going rate for doing so. As for the fee... nobody knows and probably will never now as Sunderland seem to go down the route of "Undisclosed" also, If the owner is happy with what Ipswich want to pay then that's all that matters.
Lets concentrate on who is here and who is coming. I wish Jack all the best for the future, but football is transient and players come and go....this one just happens to be be going

I have never had an ice bath. I’ve never particularly wanted to have an ice bath. Some of you may have but I can imagine it being a shock to the system when you go under the water for the first time but you eventually get used to it.

As a fan base, some of us have just had our first ice bath with the news we’ve have accepted an offer for Jack and that he is now leaving. The shock is that we are losing one of our better players and some may feel this smacks of a lack of ambition. This is the next stage of the model we are seeing now.

At the recent talk in I asked KS the question about how we haven’t seen this part of the model yet in operation and how do the club find the balance of keeping better players and accepting offers for our players in order to reinvest and improve the squad in different areas. I thought his answer was interesting. He talks about sometimes the club outgrows a player but also how players sometimes outgrow the club. We’re at the point now where Jack has shown he is of the standard to play in the PL and we were always going to lose him at some point. Yes the fee may be on the low side for some but it’s how it is reinvested is what matters.

Before we got RLB, I was talking about this to a friend about how the latter part of last season we tried nearly every attack through Jack and teams got wise to this and doubled up on him to snuff him out. I argued if we sold him we could get other players in and that our attacking options could be spread through the team rather than through just one outlet - Jack. With the acquisition of Poveda, Mundle and potentially Isodore, Samic and Mendy and the emergence of Mayenda, those attacking options look far better now than just having Jack. Good luck to the lad. Thank you for everything you have given to us.

Here is the link to the talk. I ask my question at 13m 40s for anyone that’s interested.

So the next part of the Model kicks in for the first time but we will no doubt have more ice baths to come when we eventually lose players like Rigg, Jobe etc but hopefully they won’t be as cold as this first one!!

For what it’s worth, ice baths are fantastic.

I have at least three a week. More so on an evening now rather than a morning, absolutely relaxes you and gives you the best night sleep you’ll ever have.

5 degrees for 5 minutes, your testicles will disappear mind but the mental health benefits are brilliant.

N how much the sell on % is, wonder if theyve accepted a lower fee but got a big sell on % included in it thatll boost the fee

Be funny if he turns down the move - he wont but we can dream

I reckon theyll have a few lined up with that money

Time for Mundle to shine now, hes def got the ability to do it but as RLB said he has to find that consistency that Clarke has

According to some on social media the season is over already!!

Tried the plunger pools? Been looking into one for a while but haven’t bit the bullet yet

apologies for derailing the thread

Any right footed left wingers on your radar that would suit us scout?

aye that’s what I got, just a £60 quid one from Amazon and some ice moulds, chlorines tablets and a floater.

eventually want to upgrade to a bigger one with a chiller attached but got this to see if I would keep up with it, which I have.

didn’t want to belive in the benefits of it but absolutely do, couldn’t recommend them more.

Am I missing something in regards to the fee? People are hung up on it being X up front or whatever but as we’ve seen more often than not transfer fees are just a number to keep the books right. As long as £20m goes into the clubs pot we can reinvest an amount based on that, it’s not like your average Joe waiting for his mam to chuck £20 in the bank before he can spend it?

I’ll give it a go, used to jump in a wheely bin full of ice post rugby years ago, felt brand new after it, no brainer at £60 like
