Just broke the Clarke news to the bairn. He said don't worry dad, we just need to buy some Real Madrid players. Kroos or Modric are his suggested replacements.
Maybe we've accepted the low-ish fee for Clarke because we've already got the money spent on other targets. If we tried to squeeze Ipswich for another £5 million over the next week Ipswich could have withdrawn their bid, we may have ended up with no money, no decent signings and an unhappy player.

Feels like the Marco sale. Always felt that was low. We will have to see what happens but I can understand why fans are frustrated at what has been reported. Feels at least 5m short if not more

I've always thought the team was built around Clarke the last 18 months. Getting strikers in and a decent option down the left should make us more balanced and stronger for the season.
It's not really, it's not like media haven't used guesswork before.
