Too early to call that, we’ve played one league game, one cup game where we were ****e and a few meaningless friendlies.
Jesus Wept !
We played well and won 2-0 away from home, we played the kids and reserves in the league cup against almost a full strength Preston side and you spin a negative on that ! Friendlies are about fitness not results, are you ever happy about anything about the club seriously

I think Lankshear may join but think it’ll be at the end of the window, spurs will wait to see if any injuries or gaps in their squad and loan at the end
Just with RLB comments today, I took it as we were waiting for this round of games before getting someone in so assumed it'll be a prem loan.

Just guesswork

Absolutely. Very happy when they get things right.

Reactions: Young Ted
Anyone checked on the lad last neet? Or has he been banned?

Don't think he's been banned mate.

Tees is a volatile lad at the best of times and has had a long history of personal problems with his dad, ex-partner, ex-girlfriend, work, kids, etc. All of this he's posted himself so I'm not betraying a confidence. He's a very passionate and caring lad who loves Sunderland and gets frustrated, as we all do. He's like a dog with the last bone on earth, at times, so gets overly defensive and sometimes aggressive. He lives among Smogs so has become very defensive indeed tbh.

He'll take time to calm down, apologise and post again until he blows up again ...

... he's a bit like a Buckeroo, you never know when he'll kick off <laugh>

Can’t agree with that like. Thought they gave it a good go against a full strength Preston side and really fought to try and get something.

But you can tell in all the clubs media content (which was none existent under MB and MD) the players look happier again. It’s been noted in a few interviews of them really praising the manager. And the effort is second to none compared to last season.

so I don’t think it’s too early to call at all. Application is there
They wouldn’t be signing new deals if it wasn’t there mate but some people like to ignore that and pretend it’s all hell when it isn’t anywhere near that

Ahh I’ve noticed bits of it although I’m not on here loads. Just seen all the arguments last night. Ha. I find stuff like that at that time of night normally stems from one think, drink. We’ve all been there.

Drink exaggerates the best and the worst of us imo ...

... but reality kicks in eventually unless you have the means, opportunity and motive to stay drunk 24/7.

That's always been my ambition but I sometimes falter and sober up for a day or so <laugh>

Clubs in a brilliant place atm. The feel good factor is back. I’m really taking to RLB. Players look like they’re fighting for the shirt again.

my only ‘dig’ is we don’t have a senior centre forward. Other than that I’m really impressed with everything the club is doing and there’s still time for my one problem.
Agreed

My pal (not ITK) was saying he's staying at Spurs, something he read?

Bit of a shame, but personally, I'd like someone with a bit league experience on loan if we could. I'd be very content with Al Hamadi alongside Mendy.

Think spurs have just signed that lad from Burnley, no idea if he's a forward or not, plus Solanke so might free Lankshear up. No idea if he's good or not.

That kid from Ipswich might be a shout, but is he actually that experienced? Just asking, I have no idea. I know they signed him from lower down but don't know how many games he'd played.

He’s more of an attacking midfielder. Pleased he’s left Burnley though as he’s a very good player at this level

The thing that worries me about this whole Mendy saga is we are going to piss off Mbappe which will surely mean he wont want to play for us in the near future when Kld finally gets his cheque book out.

Id heard from a couple of sources because he knows the richest cerb in the world will come in for him once he perfects his trade at Real, hes thinking ahead to get the fans on side & ****ting on Sunderlands plans now .....cant confirm if true....sounds plausible though :emoticon-0105-wink:
