Even though we need a new striker in to hit the ground running - which in itself can be a tall order - what slightly concerns me is that the players are still learning a new way of how Le Bris wants them to play and I think it could be a few games in before the idea kicks in fully.
I think that's something every team suffers with when a new head coach comes in. Much rather it happens now than during the season though.

Think we have seen some pretty clear progression in each friendly so far, as long as that keeps going we will be fine.

Of course all games are vital for points, no1 is saying they arent

But we can still beat Cardiff with the squad that we have now - id def prefer having a new quakity striker in that squad but we can still win

Its being implied that by us not having a striker we will drop points in those 1st few games, no guarantees that we will drop points
Agreed. We lost games with Ross Stewart and Ellis Simms in the team. Similarly we won games without a striker on the pitch. It's an easy and lazy assertation to make.

Always takes time for a new manager to implement his ideas, even great ones like pep take a while to get their tactics embedded

As long as we are seeing progress week on week then its a sign tje players are taking it on board

I get the feeling we will enjoy the football we play this season (hope this doesnt come back to bite me)
I cannot wait for the new season to kick-off, especially the first home game...

Hhhaaa'wwwwaaaaayyyyyy the lads

There also comes a point where you need a striker to come in and there is a good few options that would do the high pressing required and have scored goals that are available for 5m or under and Asante and Conway are examples of that. We can't expect the full package if we don't fancy paying over 5m really

if we are looking to spend 5m on a striker then he has to be the right one for me because right now that’s a lot of money for us to splodge on one player.

So like my initial point is rather we take our time in making sure it’s the right one.

Of course but that's the thing I don't think we will, we will be shopping in the 1-3m range I imagine

Maybe it’s a reaction to the tired old winges and bleats about other clubs doing things better than us.

I thought that was obvious.

Imagine if we signed Keiffer Moore then announced people would have to pay an extra £130 for a season ticket ...

... that's a massive difference, so much for Gibson, 'Man of the people'.

If O'Nien remains in the centre of defence I'd be worried about our lack of height defenders corners, etc ...

... an area we're weak in already.

Jobe doesn't like heading the ball imo so losing Ekwah, from midfield, would be a worry.

He needs to improve but I think he could be a very good player.

Stewart was one of our best defenders, at dead ball situations, and he's gone.
There's a chance O9 will have to cover Trai this season.

I totally agree with you on your points. First impressions of Le Bris have been good for me, I like the way he wants the team to play and especially the way he says he wants to educate the players to think for themselves on the pitch and make better decisions. Ideally everything clicks into place fairly quickly
