Lads from NotTheTop20 podcast absolutely waxing lyrical about Mayenda this week.

said any other club would be absolutely puring having a talent like him at the club given what he did on Sunday but because we are so blindsided by the ongoing striker problem we aren’t getting quite ahead of ourselves.

hard to disagree with them really, not saying we shouldn’t get another in because we do but we should also be very excited going forward.

I think that sums up most of what I've read on here about his performance on Sunday. Most are absolutely chuffed to bits for him and hope it's a start of things to come and him really showing he can be first choice or fighting for it. But we still need a want a striker who should be the experience and first choice for Mayenda to challenge.

You get the odd few like that whopper on the platform formally known as twitter banging on like he is the only one who still wants a striker! But they just the negative ****ers!

I've said a few times but by the end he was that confident he was bullying their cb who looked a lot bigger lad and deffo a lot more experienced. Unlucky for him the ref bought the cheating bastards dives or he dispossessed him at least twice in good positions one of which would have seen him through on goal.

Bet this week in training has been a nightmare against him <laugh><laugh>.

This is one of our challenges,in my opinion,a significant one. We have a majority of fans, perhaps all, apart from a very few very elderly, who have been raised on a diet of unfulfilled promise and ultimate failure. We all turn up,but we can't escape the worry and anxiety that, even when we're winning, somehow or other we're going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. As a lad who was at Old Trafford in 1964, and at Roker the following Wednesday,I can understand the sentiments. On Sunday, half hour in,we're 3-0 up,the place is like a morgue. We're nervous about Sheff Wed pulling a couple back and then it'll really be game on. It's a curse we have to lose.It only happens at the SoL....away we're dominant....because the expectation isn't the same and we're ready to take over the opponents ground. We have to transport that feeling back to the Sol. I remember Reidy when he was our manager saying that he looked at our opponents in the tunnel at the Sol before they came out,and he knew we would win, because he saw their fear....we need to recreate that again...and for all our hype,at the moment I don't believe we have it.

Agree with all that but I also don't think the atmosphere will ever get to what it once was as long as the away fans are stuck where they are.

It absolutely destroyed the atmosphere in the majority of games.

Disgraceful sharing that. The club should be able to refuse to do business with the ****.

**** me if Jack Clarke was a second hand car Ian Harte would have him parked up with a for sale sign in the window!

The kid really needs a new agent, it's embarrassing how he goes on and blatantly obvious he's just after a big pay day.

I will say this:

I can't imagine Jack is completely against leaving and completely unhappy with Ian Hartes hawking him him about for the last 18 months. If he was he would do exactly that, get a new agent and set some ground rules.

Jack Clarke isn't completely innocent imo!

Won’t that mean Clarke, Huggins & Watson are gone then? He represents them 3.

They should all look elsewhere.

If the best Harte can bring in is shanking him to potentially stay in same league after 3 dynamite seasons then he’s a **** agent.

If I was Clarke I’d want to know why there’s no firm PL interest. Them stats say it all.

Players galore gone PL, and lesser players than Jacky gone for fees we’d be close to accepting.

Wouldn’t mean **** anyway a player can sack an agent it happens all the time. Losing one doesn’t mean losing 3.

Refuse to see what Ian Harte has done wrong here. Agent posts something saying his player is good. Shocker.
Same here, teams arent now going to be interested because hes posted that. Teams will be fully aware of his attacking quality

Makes no difference whatsoever, Clarke will only go if 1st our valuation is met n 2 does he actually want to join that team

Posting his stats mean nothing imo

Think people know what his motives are really, especially with his comments over the summer on that podcast saying that he hopes Jack gets a move
