We need more options. It’s a long season and I don’t rate Rusyn as first choice replacement. Hemir is even more of a no go currently.

Assuming Poveda is up to the task (no reason to think otherwise) then I think the right hand side is covered.
If Clarke leaves then there's a different question to answer, not sure Benson is the answer

Bensons record in the championship with Burnley that promotion season was something mental like 15 combined G+A in 1500 minutes of football. Think Clarke had 20 in 4000 minutes of football for reference.

I get the love in for Roberts because he’s easy on the eye and he’s been good the first two games but benson better player imo and his end product isn’t dog water.

If Mayenda can get as close to 10 as possible this season that will be a fantastic return. If Mendy does come in I'd fancy him as impact up against tired legs, the lad is rapid.

I'm of the same opinion when if comes to Brown's and Ballard. Even though both are good players and bring something to the team, for me, it's Rigg's and either O'Nien or Alese's shirt to lose since they are all playing well. All players coming into the side have got to earn that right to play now unless any player in that first 11 shows a lack of form

Same here! Goals change games and as they were 3-0 down they had nothing to lose by going full tilt. If they’d got one back that would have motivated them even more and put some doubts on our mind ( we are a young relatively inexperienced team after all). When the 4th went in I thought we should be ok now!

I agree with this like. Those are decent back up options! With Rusyn able to fill in all 3 positions plus Ba for both wings as well. Benson is quality but I don’t see how we could have him, Poveda and Roberts in the same squad.

Lads from NotTheTop20 podcast absolutely waxing lyrical about Mayenda this week.

said any other club would be absolutely puring having a talent like him at the club given what he did on Sunday but because we are so blindsided by the ongoing striker problem we aren’t getting quite ahead of ourselves.

hard to disagree with them really, not saying we shouldn’t get another in because we do but we should also be very excited going forward.

And there you have it......worrying about what would happen if the opposition went full tilt, and, heaven forbid, getting one back, sowing even more seeds of doubt in our mind. Profound anxiety even though we have a healthy lead. And,apparently we need to be 4 in front before we start to feel comfortable.
We seriously need to look at ourselves.

I like. Benson. I think if Clarke is to leave he is the type of proven ready made championship winger we need to bring on.

Agreed. Another plus, I love Ballard and love his competitiveness but he can be a bit OTT at times and I think that’s part of his injury issues. Learning that if you miss you may lose your place may balance his recklessness. Winning matters but also staying fit to play matters.

Very good player at this level. Someone who can totally a change a game, as we seen at the SoL. Would defo improve us if played on the right and Clarke on the left.
