Just playing devils advocate here but how are we a more attractive proposition than Ipswich? They’re in the PL, willing to splash the cash, loads of young talent and if they come back down they’ll more than likely be favourites to go straight back up. We don’t even know how long it’s going to take us to be in a position to push automatics yet.

Not that they’re always correct but the bookies have us at 25/1 to go up, sandwiched between Watford and QPR which isn’t really inspiring. They were bang on about Ipswich last season when most of us sat in here scratching their head at why they were one of the favourites!
…we currently aren’t, not in any way, shape or form.

exactly. He can stay here and have an (at best) 20% chance of promotion with us in the next couple of years, or give himself a 100% chance by moving.

I don’t buy in to the idea that he won’t move to the premier league because he was burnt by the spurs experience. That was a totally different situation of an 18 year old moving too soon to too big a club.

Him moving now to a club he’ll start for in the premier league would be massive for him and I think we are kidding ourselves if we think he’d show undue loyalty to us.

we just have to make sure the fee is right if he does want to go.

18 days until we kick start our season. Very good chance now that Clarke starts for us at Cardiff. I really hope he stays here until at least January but I don’t see it myself. We’ll see.

Decent signing for Hull. Solid at this level and plenty room for improvement still at 22

With Clarke. I heard it was similar to Ekwah sell in. Different amounts depending on level of fee hit. Probably why they are being so specific in fees requested.
Heard much regarding Ekwah? A relation to a current player told us over in Spain he’d be away like.

I don't they they seem him starting with a stop start season last year. So l, if there is good money on the table ...

Has to be right though. Still got something in him and can grow. Just needs to turn into a bit of a bast ard

I’d like us to make a sale, pretty soon, to allow us to spend.

What I don’t want is a Clarke or an Ekwah or Jobe being sold in the last week of August.
I’m half expecting Clarke to leave late on in the window after a flying start to our season… :emoticon-0129-call:
