Ohio didn't play very much, and he never really looked any better than a very raw striker with some good physical attributes. Sometimes when a player scores a goal it makes people think he played better than he did. And very often a player who doesn't play much is given a lot more leeway by fans than one who plays more often. Noah's Ipswich performance wasn't some all-round masterclass, he just finished well at the back post when a ball happened to fall to him.

If he played more regularly and lost the shiny new player appeal, you could imagine people would be all over him. He's exactly the profile of striker that fans have little patience for when they become a regular player: fast, runs around a lot but doesn't have great technique and looks clumsy and cumbersome.

If we sign him, fine, it's better than having no strikers. But it would strike me as a club signing rather than a Walter one, and I do think we should temper our expectations about how good he'll be because some of the hype around his end to last season has become inflated.
I always thought Lineker was 5hit but he knew where the goal was !!!

It's great if you can make a regular habit of it over the long term. With Ohio I don't think we've seen enough of him to know whether those 2 "right place, right time" goals were the sign of a knack he's got or just something that coincidentally happened on two occasions but might not be repeated very often.

3 goals in 8 very limited appearances is decent enough though. His goals per minutes ratio was probably really good at a guess... I know that doesn't mean he'll rip the league up, but there's definitely something about him.

He wasn't underused he was brought up to fitness and then thrown into the team at which point he scored two crucial goals for us ffs. Rosenior started him against Huddersfield after he scored against Rotherham and he was rubbish.

Not everything has to be a shot at LR.

Yeah and Billy Sharp was bang up to speed to justify all his minutes…

No new news from Acun on Talksport. He just confirmed the interest in Philogene and then said his usual thing about not wanting to sell but if a player wants to go he wouldn't step in his way.

Yea turns I didn't miss it after all as he was only just on.

I thought it was interesting that he seemed to confirm the Barcelona link to Philogene was real.
