Maybe we are looking for over £1mill for Longman because we'd be happy to keep him? Think he could be a good squad player for us this coming season. Appears not to be short of suitors which says something.
As for Ohio and Rosenior. He showed from the start he could be a useful impact sub at the minimum. I don't see that it was anything to do with Rosenior getting him fit or improving him. Towards the end he showed exactly what he showed from the start. Rosenior just didn't fancy him over others playing out of position and imho he was wrong. Funny how some people pickj and choose who Rosenior (supposedly) improved whilst ignoring those that didn't.

No he didn't. Not against Stoke he didn't.

He scored by being in the right place against the bottom of the league but that doesn't guarantee him game time for the next 10 games.

Rosenior favoured sharp who did nothing with the opportunities he had. Ohio did more with fewer opportunities. He may have improved in his time here, he may have improved individually as a result of getting dropped, but that doesn't in any way means that with hindsight that Rosenior was right to have favoured sharp when we were struggling for goals.

Ultimately it's about opinions, but the numbers make the argument for me, when all is said and done.

Ohio didn't play very much, and he never really looked any better than a very raw striker with some good physical attributes. Sometimes when a player scores a goal it makes people think he played better than he did. And very often a player who doesn't play much is given a lot more leeway by fans than one who plays more often. Noah's Ipswich performance wasn't some all-round masterclass, he just finished well at the back post when a ball happened to fall to him.

If he played more regularly and lost the shiny new player appeal, you could imagine people would be all over him. He's exactly the profile of striker that fans have little patience for when they become a regular player: fast, runs around a lot but doesn't have great technique and looks clumsy and cumbersome.

If we sign him, fine, it's better than having no strikers. But it would strike me as a club signing rather than a Walter one, and I do think we should temper our expectations about how good he'll be because some of the hype around his end to last season has become inflated.

Dont think many disagree with this. It’s also true that in limited spells he did show some signs of promise whilst admittedly having some inconsistency. It’s the former that’s worth taking a punt on at the right price.

He seemed to have a decent knack of being in good positions and 2 out of his 3 goals were decent instinct finishes with the other being as a result of not giving up.

You could have been describing Tom Eaves there.
The Ohio signing or not depends on the asking price. If he was a free then yes it's a no brainer. Personally I'd sooner see Will Jarvis given a chance.

I would have signed Ohio. He definitely had something about him, he had a knack of being in the right place at the right time. How many strikers have we had that didn’t have that - plenty.

    I sorta agree
But why didn’t he play him in the u23’s to get him up to speed as well if he had and banged then in there it would be less of a gamble

I assume because he doesn’t have him at his disposal. Given he’s in Brazil and all.

At least Ohio had his own song - we might end up signing someone who doesn't

Everytime I hear Abdush, it sounds weird, as Turks use that suffix only for babies or gay people (in slang).
